Third Person pov:

The girls headed down to the great hall and saw their other trio of friends, so they sat across from them. (Y/n) noticed they all looked a little shaken up about something, which concerned her since Ron was, after all, her brother.

"Are you guys alright?" Viviana asked, which made (Y/n) relieved since she wasn't the only one noticing something was off. The other three Gryffindors looked at one another debating on whether they should tell them about the three-headed dog they encountered not even an hour ago. Harry nodded at his two best friends and decided to tell the three girls.

"Do you remember that warning about that area on the third floor?" Harry asked before cutting to the point.

"Yeah?" All three girls answered at once.

"Well, we accidentally went there and-"

"Hold up, how the hell do you accidentally go somewhere where you're told not to go?" (Y/n) asked, taking a bite out of her lasagna.

"The stairs just took us there!" Ron said moving his hands in a grand gesture.

"Okay?"

Harry went on to explain to the three girls how Filch almost caught them but they hid in this room with a three-headed dog guarding a trapped door. It almost sounded unbelievable to the girls but it was Hogwarts so you could never be certain.

"If you don't believe us we can show you!" Ron exclaimed.

"No thanks," Everley said and proceeded to eat some of her vegetable soup.

Throughout dinner, the three discussed every theory about what it could be guarding. When dinner came to an end, the three walked back to the Gryffindor tower together, still discussing the events that happened today in low voices.

"(Y/n) don't forget we have practice with Oliver tomorrow during lunch." Harry reminded before parting ways to the boys and girls dorms.

"I'll be there." She smiled at the boy and walked into the girl's dorm area with the other three.

"I'm so tired and I have a super long day tomorrow, goodnight," (Y/n) muttered after falling face first onto her bed. She got two quiet goodnights from her friends before drifting off to sleep.

The proceeding day was going by much slower to (Y/n)'s liking. Her double potions class was actual hell, Snape was in a worse mood than usual and hardly explained the proponents of the potion before brewing. This resulted in multiple explosions, (Y/n) was skilled in this class, so she managed to perfect the potion.

Herbology was boring as always, plants never struck an interest to the young girl. However, she understood what she needed to in order to get an extremely high grade in the class which earned her praise from Percy.

Then came lunch, the most awaited period of the day, but not just for the food for (Y/n). She and Harry were scheduled to meet Wood at 12:30. It was ten minutes before their scheduled time and Harry met the girl at the Gryffindor table.

"You ready?" He asked as he approached her and her two closest friends eating a sandwich.

"Yeah, give me twenty seconds," she replied and finished devouring the chicken sandwich. "Okay, I'm ready!"

The two Gryffindors smiled at each other and heard a chorus of good lucks from their friends. They walked out of the hall and talked about what they were most excited and nervous regarding quidditch. The two met Oliver in a field where they could go over basics.

"Hey guys, you ready to begin?" He asked once they approached him.

"I'm so ready," (Y/n) replied.

"Quidditch is easy enough to understand. Each team has seven players, 3 chasers, one of which is you," he pointed to the girl, "2 beaters, 1 keeper and a seeker that's you," he pointed to Harry. There are three kinds of balls." He picked up a red one, "This one's called the Quaffle. Now, (Y/n), you and the other chasers handle the Quaffle and try to put it through one of those three hoops. The keeper, that's me, defends the hoops. With me so far?"

"Yeah, I've actually played quidditch in my backyard, so I know most things," (Y/n) said.

"Okay, good, so I assume you're already comfortable with these?" She nodded in response.

"I think I get it. What are those?" Harry pointed to two squirming balls chained down.

"You better take this," Oliver handed Harry a small bat and bends down to release one ball. With an angry growl, it flies off into the air. "Careful now, it's comin' back." The balls comes whizzing down, and Harry cracks at it with the bat. The ball soars off through a statue. "Eh, not bad, Potter, you'd make a fair beater... Uh-oh." The ball zooms down, and Oliver grabs it, wriggling to get it back in the box. He eventually got it in became out of breath. "Bludger. Nasty little buggers. But the only ball I want you to worry about is this... the Golden Snitch." He hands Harry a tiny golden ball.

"I like this ball," Harry says while admiring it. (Y/n) looks at the snitch also admiring the gold ball.

"Ah, you like it now. Just wait. It's wicked fast and damn near impossible to see."

"What do I do with it?" Harry's eyebrows furrow.

"You catch it.. .before the other team's seeker. You catch this, the game is over. You catch this, Potter, and we win." Harry lets the snitch fly around and admires it. "Let's do some drills and get you comfortable with these balls."

For the next hour (Y/n) becomes more and more used to the real-sized quaffle and how to throw it. Her aim is on target every time which impresses her captain. Harry familiarizes himself with the snitch and different ways of catching it. Before they know it, the hour they were practicing in ends.

"Well done, you two, I think we have a real shot at the quidditch cup this year. We have practices Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, but that is subject to change and I will probably add more as the year progresses." Oliver says goodbye to the two other Gryffindors after packing the balls back into the trunk they came in.

(Y/n) and Harry trek back to the castle, seeing that they have twenty minutes left until their next class which is charms. The two decide to just walk around together and they talk about whatever comes to mind, just enjoying the other's presence. Without noticing the time fly by, the bell rings which meant lunch and break was over and time to get to your next class.

The two young Gryffindors make their to the charms and sit next to one another with (Y/n) in between him and Ron, and Hermione next to Ron's left. Viviana and Everley take a seat behind (Y/n) and Ron and wait for the short professor to start the lesson.
