Like all good things, dinner came to an end. (Y/n) was hardly able to keep her head up by the end, despite it only being eight-thirty. After the bill was paid for, Severus took his daughter out of the restaurant and into a more famously known store: Honeydukes. Of course, after walking in and eyeing the neverending walls of candy, it was no longer difficult for the girl to stay awake.

"What's this place?" (Y/n) asked with wide eyes.

"Honeydukes. You can get anything you want."

    "Anything?"

 "Did I stutter?"

With that said, (Y/n) went prowling the aisles for some sweets. She searched until she found a sweet she just couldn't pass up... Sugared Butterfly Wings. She grabbed three packages and found her father in the next aisle over.

"I haven't been here in years, it's nice to know that hardly anything's changed." He picked up a chocolate frog package. "My favorite." The two walked up to the register and Severus paid for the two's candy.

The same carriage that was there to drop them off stayed where it was. Once again, Sev helped his daughter up and sat opposite her.

"How was your birthday?"

"This was the best one yet!" The girl exclaimed while ripping open the packing of her candy.

"I'm glad." (Y/n) could've sworn that even the smallest of smiles appeared on her father's face.

"Thank you." The girl looked up from her candy. "For everything. Even when you couldn't be there for me. I guess all of this," she gestured wildly, "makes up for some of it."

"Maybe if I keep buying you candy, it'll make up for everything."

(Y/n) shrugged in response and chewed into the gummy butterfly wings. The carriage soon came to a complete stop in front of the beautiful castle. Snape helped his daughter out of it and led her inside one of the side entrances.

"Do you know how to get to your common room from here?" He asked once they came into more used corridors.

"I think so." (Y/n) looked around at the familiar corridor the two were standing in.

"Please just don't get lost. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Thank you, again," (Y/n) said.

"If you need anything please don't be scared to ask me or Minnie." With that, he walked in the opposite direction.

(Y/n) walked to her common room with a smile on her face the whole way. She spoke the password to the fat lady and entered the room, immediately swarmed by her close friends who were almost too curious about her dinner.

"Is he secretly nice?"

   "Where did you go?"

"What did you get at Honeydukes?"
