Third Person pov:

"Where is he? What's his name? Was he in Gryffindor? How can I meet him?" (Y/n)'s eyes pleaded with the headmaster for some sort of information.

"Slow down, my dear." Dumbledore put up his hand to calm the girl down. She immediately stopped talking.

"Why hasn't he come for me? Some father," she muttered the last part and looked down.

"(Y/n), there are things out there that you won't understand just yet. Did he want to get you back? Yes. Could he get you back? No. There are so many things, dangerous things, that restricted him from bringing him into your life." The girl just nodded with her eyes glued to her lap. "Are there any more questions?"

Of course there were, but none he would answer at the moment, which (Y/n) knew so she shook her head no. "I've called for Professor Snape to bring you back to your common room, Professor McGonagall was... busy." (Y/n) furrowed her eyebrows in confusion but nodded.

"Thank you, Professor Dumbledore," (Y/n) said.

"You're quite welcome. In another year or so maybe you'll start to understand why things happened the way they did and I can tell you more. Here, take this." He handed her the picture that was in the album. (Y/n) smiled as soon as she looked at it. The wooden doors to the office opened and in strutted Snape. He looked at Albus and then to the girl.

"You called?" His eyes moved back to Dumbledore's

"Severus, thank you for coming on short notice. Would you mind escorting Miss. Weasley back to her common room? I'm aware that students have gotten lost after leaving my office."

"Of course." His monotone voice spoke.

"Thank you again, Professor Dumbledore," (Y/n) said with a smile.

"You're very welcome... make sure to hold onto that tight."

The young girl nodded and followed Professor Snape out of the office and into where the eagle statue stood. The two were silent on the way down, but after stepping out of the space (Y/n) decided to break the quiet.

"So what's your favorite animal?" Snape stopped his tracks and looked down at the girl with a confused look. He continued walking after a few seconds. There was absolutely no one around, since third years and up were at Hogsmeade and other students were out enjoying the beautiful weather.

"A dog." He spoke in his regular monotone voice without looking back down.

"Why?"

"I don't know, why do you keep asking questions?"

"I don't know."

Silence.

"Favorite color?" Asked (Y/n).

"Black."

"Not surprised," she muttered, but not quiet enough for Snape to not hear. He just looked at her and smirked a little.

They continued a little further down the corridor in silence.

"Favorite subject?" Snape eventually asked, which put a smile on the girls face.

"Probably Potions or Defence Against the Dark Arts."

More silence.

"Did you play quidditch when you went to Hogwarts?" (Y/n) asked.

"No."

"Did you know my mother?"

Snape stopped dead in his track and so did (Y/n). He kept his eyes fixed straight in front of him, while (Y/n) was looking up at him.

"Yes."

"What's her name?" (Y/n) asked, knowing Snape didn't know that Dumbledore refused to tell her. 'It'S tOo DaNgErOuS'... dangerous my ass, she thought.

"Rosalie, but she went by Rose to everyone." Snape finally turned to the girl and his eyes met her (e/c) ones, the same that Rose had. "You look so much like her."

"So did you know my father?" He tensed up and took a deep breath in.

"Yes." (Y/n) motioned for him to move on but he just continued walking. It was silent until they reached the great hall.

"Wait a minute." A face of realization came across her face. "It's you." The professor looked down and he raised an eyebrow.

"I cannot confirm nor deny. Now off you go." Without another word Snape took off in the opposite direction, leaving the Gryffindor standing alone, her mouth hanging open. However, if she was anything like her mother, the professor knew she simply wouldn't drop the subject. He was correct.

"Hey, (Y/n)!" Everley exclaimed walking out of the great hall with some Hufflepuffs.

"Hi..." Her voice drifted off.

"Are you okay?" Concern was written all over her voice.

"Yeah!" She exclaimed happier.

"Great! Anyways, I'd like to introduce you to some new friends I made! This is Callum, Ben, and Amelia, all from Hufflepuff!" The three Hufflepuffs waved shyly.

"Pleasure to meet you three," (Y/n) smiled back at the shy faces. "If you'll please excuse me, I really need to speak to Professor McGonagall. I... uh... have questions about the upcoming exam since I'm almost failing her class." Everley gave a confused look.

"Are you crazy, you and Hermione are practically tied for the top spot in our Transfiguration class, not to mention our whole year overall! Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine Ev, thank you for the concern, though. I'll talk to you guys later!" The girl took off down the corridor to pay her favorite professor another visit within two hours.
