(Y/n) woke up in a startle in the hospital wing. Slowly realizing where she was, her breathing slowed as she took in everything around her, including the many cards and candy by her bedside. How long she was out for she didn't know but other than her the hospital wing was empty.
"Good evening, (Y/n)," an older voice said drawing the young girl's attention to the large double doors of the hospital wing. In walked Professor Dumbledore.
"Good evening professor."
"How are you feeling? It's funny, just an hour ago Mr. Potter and I were having this exact conversation." The headmaster asked and took a seat at the foot of (Y/n)'s hospital bed.
"Much better... I don't know what happened to me back in the chamber that caused me to fall unconscious but I do feel a lot better." Dumbledore's breath stuttered as (Y/n) admitted confusion, as he held all the answers. "Who knows about that by the way?" The young girl questioned.
"Well it was kept a secret so naturally the whole school knows." A small smile appeared on both of their faces.
"And my father... where is he? We never got to talk about my summer living plans."
"Ah yes he had to take it upon himself to talk to the Weasley's and they had to set up a schedule that they thought would be best. I'm sure he'll speak to you more about that before you leave. However, I believe you may leave the hospital whenever. Please be mindful of the end of year feast tonight." With that, Dumbledore made his way to leave.
"Thank you professor." The headmaster turned before exiting the doorway. "I mean for everything you've done for me this year." A small smile spread across the headmaster's face.
"Any time, my dear." (Y/n) soon found herself alone, but soon decided to go get ready for the end-of-year feast. Her first stop was the Gryffindor common room since she remembered Ron's horrible fall and didn't know what happened to Harry.
After saying the password the door opened and she stepped in. By the fire, Everley and Viviana sat on the couch seeming to be having a conversation. The pair looked up at the sound of the door opening. They both screamed her name in sync and attacked her with a big hug.
"Are you okay?" Ev was the first to ask.
"I feel great! I don't remember much of what happened if I'm completely honest. Have you guys seen Ron?" As if on cue, her brother ran down from the spiral steps and embraced his sister in the largest hug.
"I'm so glad you're okay... Fred, George, Percy and I were all scared that you wouldn't wake up in time." A few moments the other two members of the trio engulfed (Y/n) in a tight squeeze. Harry, of course, had to fill her in on what happened after she fainted.
After being filled in, the girl decided it was best to wash up, including brushing her teeth and hair along with changing into robes.
"I really need to go see my dad, I haven't talked to him since." With a series of 'okay's', (Y/n) left the Gryffindor common room and set on her way to Snape's office.
When she got there, she saw her father packing up his items into a few trunks but his eyes immediately looked up after his daughter's soft knock. The softest gasp escaped his lips at the sight of his girl as he rushed through the classroom to embrace her in a hug. Neither spoke a word until they let go.
"Don't worry no one needs to know about that," (Y/n) said with a small laugh. The girl followed her father back into the office area of the room and sat on his desk as he finished packing. "Do you have my living arrangements schedule?"
"Yes, due to your unfortunate events Arthur, Molly and I had to come up with arrangements of sort. Here you go." Snape handed his daughter a calendar of the summer months along with where she was supposed to spend what weeks with who. "We decided to rotate every two weeks, except for the very end of August you will only get one week at my house since professors need to come back a week prior."
"Okay so I start with the Weasley's right?"
"Correct. When you first come to my house I will take you shopping and you may decorate your room however you wish." Snape said as he closed another trunk. "Now if you'll excuse me I need to get to the feast and if my calculations are correct my house has won the house cup."
"That's stupid Gryffindor should win." Snape just rolled his eyes to the comment and left. (Y/n) decided to pay a quick visit to her godmother just so she knows that she's okay. Walking down the corridor she ran into McGonagall on her way to the feast.
"(Y/n)!" She exclaimed and walked faster to embrace her goddaughter in a tight hug.
"Aunt Minnie!"
"Now deary I need to get to the great hall and I suggest you don't dilly dally on your way there," McGonagall said and rushed off the the hall.
(Y/n) met up with Everly and Viviana outside of the hall and entered the large room, taking a seat at the Gryffindor table with black caps on their heads. Moments later the hall was filled and the other trio was sitting across from (Y/n) and her friends.
"Another year gone. And now as I understand it, the House Cup needs awarding. And the points stand as thus: In fourth place, Gryffindor with 312 points." There were few claps as the Gryffindors tried to hide their faces. "Third place, Hufflepuff with 352 points." More claps came erupted. "In second place Ravenclaw with 436 points. And in first place, with 482 points, Slytherin House." (Y/n) rolled her eyes as the Slytherins cheered.
Dumbledore, however, went on. "Yes, yes. Well-done Slytherin. Well-done Slytherin. However recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last-minute points to award." (Y/n) furrowed her eyebrows and looked at Viviana who shared the same look. "To Miss. Hermione Granger, for the cool use of intellect when others were in grave peril. 40 points." Everyone at the Gryffindor house clapped.
"Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best-played game of chess Hogwarts has seen these many years. 40 points." Once again everyone in Gryffindor cheered. "Third to Miss. (Y/n) Weasley, for never failing to follow those into danger despite risking her own life to make sure theirs was saved. 40 points." (Y/n) smiled up at Dumbledore and earned more cheers.
To Dumbledore's left, McGonagall sat with the biggest smile and clapped loudly for her goddaughter. Snape also clapped a couple times, but hid his pride under his usual blank look.
"And fourth to Mr. Harry Potter, for pure nerve and outstanding courage. I award Gryffindor House 50 points." Everyone in Gryffindor cheered for Harry while everyone at the Slytherin table sat in disbelief.
"We're tied with Slytherin!" Hermione whispered across the table.
"And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies. But a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom." The entirety of the table cheered and wooed for Neville who sat in shock. "Assuming my calculations are correct I believe that a change of decoration is in order." Dumbledore clapped his hands and changed the green banners to red and gold. "Gryffindor wins the House Cup!"
Everyone in Gryffindor house stood up and cheered loudly while throwing the black hats into the air. Finally everyone settled and ate the rest of their meal in peace and happiness.
"Promise to write to me?" Viviana asked her two best friends.
"Of course!" (Y/n) exclaimed.
"Yes!" Everley said with excitement. The three exchanged addresses then and there on spare parchment.
The following moment was filled with sadness as it was their departure date. (Y/n) woke up feeling sadness to leave her new home away from home.
