Y/N Windbriar was a wizard. Witch actually, if you wanted to get down to specifics. Now the interesting part of all this was that she had no idea she was a witch up until a few hours ago.
Yet here she was, in a magical shopping centre called diagon alley, hidden away in London.
Y/N couldn't believe it. She didn't at first, but then the big man called Hagrid has taken her here and she had no choice to believe."Right then Y/N, I have some errands to run, so if you go ahead and get yourself a wand then I'll meet you there soon" Hagrid said, he then turned on his heel and went in the other direction.
You stared at where Hagrid had been. He'd given you no time to reply and now you were lost in the middle of the street.
You decided to look for a shop that had a sign saying "wand shop" or something like that. You had no idea how stuff worked in the wizarding world.--------------------------------------------------
After walking around for a while, you chose to give up. Finding a bench on the side, you sat and waited for Hagrid to return.
Suddenly a young girl came up to you. She seemed to be the same age as you.
"Hello" the new girl said with a big smile. She had short cut brown hair and bright green eyes.
"Oh, uh, hi?" You replied questioningly.
"Sorry" the other girl continued "I'm Rapunzel"
"Y/N"
"Nice to meet you Y/N, I couldn't help but notice that you looked a bit lost."
Your face went red. Did you really seem that out of place?
"Oh don't worry about it" Rapunzel said quickly. "It's really easy to get lost here, it's such a big place and there's so many people"
You simply nodded in agreement, too embarrassed to talk. The wizarding world scared you a bit.
"Are you looking for anywhere in particular that you need to go?" Rapunzel asked.
"Yes actually, yeah" you stammered. "I'm meant to get a wand from somewhere?"
Rapunzels face broke out into a big grin. "Follow me" she said, grabbing your hand.
Rapunzel took you through the crowd of people, you swerved past lamposts and corners, earning the occasional bump in the corner. You came close to tripping a few times but Rapunzel didn't seem to notice, she just carried on skipping merrily through the street.
Eventually they slowed down. Rapunzel jumped in front of a building, pulling you closer to her. She gestured to the building in front and exclaimed "This is Ollivanders!"You gave Rapunzel a confused look.
Rapunzel sighed but gave you a reassuring smile.
"This is where you'll get your wand" Rapunzel explained.
"Right sorry" You said sheepishly.
Rapunzels expression softened. "Don't worry, Muggleborns always have a hard time adjusting. You're not the only one who's a bit lost though if that helps" Rapunzel said.
"It does a bit" You replied.
"Thank you" you said to the brown haired girl.
"Not a problem" Rapunzel said back. "I hope to see you soon, goodbye Y/N" and then the girl left with a wave.
You just gave a small wave back. You turned to the building in front of her. It looked old and in need of some fixing.
Nevertheless, you pushed the door open. It opened with a creak, to which you cringed. Suddenly a man came scuttling into view. 'come in' he repeated quickly.
