You sat at the great hall eating your breakfast. To your side Tiana hummed a tune while scooping up some cereal. You were grateful to have her, so far she'd been a good friend to have in your house.
You swirled your spoon around and waited for the signal. You felt a brief tap on your left shoulder and opened your right palm behind you. You felt someone put something in it so pulled it forward to check. It was a note.
Morning Y/N! How's your breakfast going? - Merida
Good morning Y/N, you don't seem to be eating your cereal so I think you should maybe try eat something else. The food comes magically so I'm sure no one will mind if you leave it uneaten - HH
Seriously Hiccup, if she wants to change her breakfast then she would've done so already! Anyways write back! - MeridaYou stifled a laugh at their note. It had become a daily routine since you sat near them. Every mealtime they'd pass you notes and you'd send some back. So far no one had noticed. You hoped.
You looked around carefully before writing back. Tiana seemed occupies with her food so you quickly scribbled down:My morning is going good Merida and you're right, if I wanted to ear something else I would've. And, hiccup, maybe I like playing with my food. Who knows?
Kidding, you're right Hiccup, this cereal is pretty flavourless for a world full of magic - WindbriarYou quickly passed the note back. You listened carefully to their reactions. Not long after you could hear meridas hearty laugh. But it soon diminished as they reached the bottom of the note and hiccups more chuckle than laugh took its place.
You waited for them to write back and looked up at the tables around.
You noticed jack sitting at the far end of the hall. He wasn't eating anything. He had his head propped up on his hand and stared up at the ceiling. You noticed a girl next to him, with white hair just like his. She was eating but also seemed to just stare into space.
You searched for Rapunzel on the Ravenclaw table and found her towards the side. She sat with a talk girl with brown hair tied behind her. Rapunzels green eyes kept darting up and down the table. You noted that she ate in a prim manner, unlike the other students. Nobody spoke to her though. In fact, it looked as if they'd turned away from her.
Your attention was quickly brought back to your own table when you felt a little tap on your left shoulder.

After breakfast, you prepared yourself for your first charms lesson. It was nothing short of exciting to go. This would be your first time performing any sort of magic. It was certainly nerve racking too.
Hufflepuff had been put to have charms with Ravenclaw. You smiled happily knowing you got to see Rapunzel again. You had yet to talk to her after the sorting.
You walked into the class and found it smaller than you thought it to be. You found that the proffesor was also much smaller than you thought him to be. You quickly made your way into a seat by Rapunzel. She only smiled at you before directing her gaze to the front. The little man at the front then cleared his throat.
"Hello class" he spoke. "Welcome to your first charms lesson. My name is proffesor flitwick and I shall be teaching you all you need to know about charms"
Flitwick continued to speak. He briefly discussed the charms you were to learn throughout the year and then proceeded to explain one charm in detail. At the end of the lesson, you were going to perform the spell yourselves. After a while, he eventually allowed you all to practise and talk amongst yourselves.
You turned to Rapunzel who had already began talking to you
"How are you finding Hogwarts so far" she asked curiously.
