"So do you know everything there is to know about quidditch now?" You asked hiccup as he greeted the group.

He'd spent the whole afternoon in Madame hoochs office learning about the wizarding sport.

He sent you a look as if to say 'seriously?'

You just shrugged your shoulder and gave a look back to say 'yeah'.

Hiccup just laughed and sat down next you. "if you must know then, no I don't"

"Well wasn't that a grand waste of time" you said.

"Quidditch is not a waste of time" jack said, swinging his legs around to sit on hiccups other side. "In fact, anything quidditch related is the best way to spend your time"

Elsa, who'd been sitting opposite you turned to jack with a serious expression. "If you're going to be quidditch obsessed from now on then I suggest you find some new friends" she said cooly.

"Oh please, you'd miss me too much if I left" jack smirked.

Elsa simply mocked his words before returning to her book. The library was your new hangout now. You and your friends would often meet here after lessons. Suddenly, Merida burst through the door. She waved frantically before being told to 'hush' by the librarian. To which she then waved in a much calmer manner.

"How was quidditch club boys" she asked teasingly.

Hiccup groaned and placed his head on the table while jack just laughed.

You and your friends carried on talking for a while. Merida was consistently told to quiet down, while Elsa would often scold jack for some reason or another. After a while you realised that Rapunzel was yet to come. You asked if anyone had seen her and no one had. They suggest that she might have just been busy and not to worry so you didn't dwell on it. But at the back of your head you couldn't help but wonder if she was okay.

Rapunzel tapped the pen on the paper. She was sitting up in the Ravenclaw common room, with an empty piece of paper in front of her. Her parents had written to her and awaited a reply. They'd asked if she was enjoying, what friends she'd made and if she had met any suitable purebloods for future reference. Unfortunately for Rapunzel, the only answers she could give were ones that her parents didn't like.

And so she sat there, pen at the ready but couldn't think of what to say. Rapunzel let her head fall into her hands and rubbed her eyes. She sighed. She had to write something so, she quickly scribbled down;

Mom, Dad, Hogwarts is amazing. It's just like you said. The castle is magnificent and the lessons are beyond interesting. The people here are too. I can't write much at the moment due to my busy schedule but I promise I'll write a full recount for you soon
Love, your daughter, Rapunzel

Rapunzel looked at the letter with distaste. But it was the only thing she could write and she was much too tired to think of some clever way to make everything optimistic. So Rapunzel sealed her letter in an envelope and made her way down to the owlery.

Rapunzel loved the owlery. She loves the lack of people and the excess of owls. They each flew freely. They gave the school life at night when everyone else was asleep. Rapunzel didn't need to care when she was here. There were no blood status amongst the owls. They were all just owls. And she loved that.

Rapunzel smiled softly and let herself relax. This time, her cheeks didn't hurt from smiling. This time her smile was genuine.

Rapunzel walked through the owlery and made her way to her own owl, Pascal. She reached his cage but found him perched higher.
