Megan sighed happily as she placed her backpack back on her chair. Rex and Nick watched her baffled.

"Meg... are you sick or something..?" Nick finally asked. "No, well kinda, I'm lovesick~!" she said, pressing a hand where her heart is. Nick covered his mouth in surprise. "get out."

"Oh it's all too real!" she said happily. "and we're going on a date later, so don't wait up." she said going upstairs. She closed her door and put her phone on her charger, and happily picked out her outfit for the night. Now would be the hard part. She pulled out her bottle of hair dye and sighed, rereading the simple instructions. She went back into her dye filled bathroom and dyed her roots. After that she took a quick shower, the water turning red from the new dye. When she was finished it was already 6:30. She quickly dried her hair with her towel and got dressed at the same time. Finally drying her hair she fixed her tights and dress and slipped on a cardigan and looked at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a black sundress, cut just above the knees, tan tights the knee up, black tights with a cat kind of design knee down, a cream colored cardigan, and black combat boots. For once she felt pretty on her own, dressing up for a beloved date. She smiled and sighed happily, twirling in the dress happily. She could already imagine his voice saying how beautiful she looked and how he was just so glad to have her all to himself. She smiled widely, taking her phone off the charger and glancing at the time. 6:45. She should get going if she wanted to get there in time. She grabbed the keys, her purse and got in the car and drove off. She listened to music, slightly tapping her fingers on the steering wheel as she got there in plenty time. She turned the car off and got out. She didn't really go to the fairs or anything the towns put together, but she had to say, it was beautiful. She felt a soft tap on her shoulder and turned to see it was Seth. She smiled widely and so was he, scanning her and taking both of her hands.

"You look so beautiful right now Megan, in a dress." he said, kissing her hands softly. She blushed softly. "You look very nice yourself." she said, and he rolled his eyes. "you're just saying that." she rolled her eyes back at him. "Stop being such a preteen and take the compliment." she giggled. He let go of one of her hands.

"Come on! Let's look at some booths before it gets crowded!" he said and they walked along the lines of booths. She kinda skimmed them, not really seeing anything that would give interest to her. But Seth jolted to a halt and looked at the jewelry carefully. She smiled softly, enjoying his focused face. He let go of her hand for a second and picked a necklace up.

"5 dollars? Sold!" he said with a smile and handed the lady a five. She smiled and he took my hand again walking somewhere. "I know a perfect spot to see the drifting lanterns." he said excitedly, making her giggle. They walked a little longer, until he stopped at a bench, sitting down and her doing the same. He intertwined his fingers with hers kissing her cheek softly. She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder. They sat in blissful silence, watching the lanterns drift on the pond, flickering light amongst the darkened night. He turned to her, taking the necklace out from his pocket and showing her it. It was two wings, sterling silver, making the shape of a heart. "I think it would look pretty in it. Do you mind?" he asked and she shook her head. "I wouldn't at all." she moved her hair out of the way. He clipped it behind her neck, pecking her lips as he did so. He straightened it out, smiling.

"It looks perfect on you~" he said, and she blushed lightly.

"Thank you for the necklace..." "But of course, it can be a symbol of our first date." he said with a soft smile. She blushed deeper, and moved some of her bangs out her face. "I hope there's more ~" she said, smiling softly at him, kissing his nose.

"of course there will be more."
