He smiled happily, surprised she didn't push him off, calling him a weirdo or anything like that, since they had such a short encounter. He was so interested in her because, well, she seemed just so, different from him. He was usually forced to be nice to others, but she was so cold, her eyes almost locked from anyone seeing her true emotions. But he wanted to open them, for her to only trust him, the only one who will know how she truly felt. He smiled softly, noticing himself zoning out. He smiled at her, asking her.
"Are you going to do the spring play? They're calling for cast members today!" she shook her head, chuckling softly to herself.
"It's barely even feeling like spring, and I can't act at all." Liar, you are right now. You're so so sad Megan, tell me what's wrong.his mind screamed at him, but he shook it off, pouting slightly. "But Meg-Meg! I want to see you on stage! The crowd would love you!" she sighed and smiled slightly.
"If I try out will you stop whining?" He nodded excitedly. "Yeah yeah!" she smiled, pinching his nose slightly and sticking her tongue out. "Okay Rikki I'll try out." he smiled, taking her hand off his nose and hugging her tightly. "Yay!!" He could tell she was blushing, and hugged him back, her warmth making Rikki happy. Until she went cold, let him go and quickly mumbled.
"Rikki I gotta go, see you later." and she sped off, passing a boy who clearly wanted to talk to her even quicker, almost running from him. Rikki grit his teeth. So this was the bastard that made Megan lock herself up huh. He was so awkward, so unwanted in any other group. Quickly another girl wrapped her arms around his, pressing her chest onto him, as if to get his attention. She told him to forget about that "slut" and pay more attention to her. So, himself being entranced by her breasts, said of course and she giggled, walking off with him close by. Rikki balled his hands into fists. How dare that bitch, who clearly won Seth over by her breasts, call Megan a slut?! She was clearly the slut! Clearly the one who's slept with everyone in her damn grade! He huffed angrily, storming off. He would deal with them later. He hoped she would show up to the tryouts, even if she was upset. And so the day went by fast, and his thoughts continued to only be about Megan. He was almost thrilled when the day ended and the tryouts began. He paced around in slight fear of her not coming to tryout. But his fear subsided when her, along with Annie and Alanna showed. He smiled happily, and ran up to them, hugging Megan tightly.
"I knew you'd come!!" He said, Megan chuckling softly and ruffling his hair like a friend. Friend. I don't want to be a friend. I want to be your one and only. His mind screeched at him, him ignoring it once again. He chuckled back, fixing his hair slightly. "so do you know who you're trying out as?" he asked, and she shrugged.
"I don't even know what the play is...!" she said, looking around at some of the unfinished props and groaned. "don't tell me it's-" "High School Musical duh!" Annie said, ruffling Magan's hair giddily.
"So I guess I'll try out for the least used person.." she mumbled and Rikki watched her sadly, she had such a soothing voice, he would've loved listening to her sing.
"You can be Ryan! Nobody's trying out for him!" Alanna said excitedly. Megan tilted her head slightly in thought. "Isn't that the gay guy who hangs around Sharpé way to much?" Annie rolled her eyes and sighed, tapping Megan's nose.
"Silly silly Megan! The actor wanted Ryan to be gay, it's never said that he was truly gay! Plus the actor isn't gay!" she babbled on for a bit more until Mrs. Evans clapped her hands together and announced in her large voice.
"Alright everyone! Time for auditions!! May the odds be ever in your favor!" a couple book nerds in the back room snickered to themselves and Rikki, having to work in the back, hid back into the curtain where he belonged. He watched as person after person tried out for the main parts,Troy, Gabriella, Taylor, Kelsi, and Sharpé. But then, Megan slowly made her way onto the stage, she was clearly nervous, and she cleared her throat.
"Well, I'm Megan, and I'd like to try out for the part of Ryan-" "You got it my dear!" Megan's mouth gaped open, trying to find her voice again. "B-but I didn't even say a line...!" she stuttered, but Mrs. Evans put her hand up to silence her. "Nonsense Megan I know you'd be perfect, now I hope you know how to dress in drag, come on! Give her the lines!" One of the girls handed her a stack of papers and escorted her off stage. Rikki clapped his hands together in joy, now he'd be able to see his princess every single day!
