I woke up panting in the middle of the night. I looked at my room with relief. I’m here. I’m fine. I’m safe. I dreamt of something that I didn’t experience before. But it feels like it already happened. What the hell is it? I stood up in my bed and decided to go downstairs. My throat has gone dry. I wanted some water to freshen me up. As I was going downstairs, I heard Gajeel’s voice and another familiar voice.

“I just wanted to see her. Gajeel, please…”

“Dude, as much as I want to. I don’t want you to scare her. Look at what happened.” My eyebrows furrowed. Who is Gajeel talking to? What are they talking about?

“Gajeel?” I saw Gajeel outside the house. I looked outside if there’s a visitor or what.

Gajeel turned around almost immediately. His eyes widened as he saw me. “J-Juvia?”

“What are you doing outside? And who are you talking to?” I looked at the window yet there is no person there.

“I’m not talking to someone, Juvia. You silly woman. And why are you up? It’s midnight. You should rest.” Gajeel sighed. I could sense something weird. I’m sure he’s just talking to someone earlier.

“Uh…I was thirsty.” I said. “Are you sure you’re not talking to anyone? I’m sure I heard something.”

“Maybe you’re imagining things, Juvia. You know. The side effect of what happened to you?” He said as a matter of fact. Well, I don’t know. I’m sure I heard another voice. I didn’t open the topic again and I hurriedly went to the kitchen and I drank some water. What a weird night this is.

I had a dream of Levy, Mira, Erza and some girl with blonde hair. We were hanging around. Laughing, chatting and giggling. Just like what I wish and how I picture what girls’ bonding is. It was so weird. Of course I wanted to have girlfriends like them but I am never this desperate to be dreaming of them. I know I’m such a loner but this is too much. Then, my dream changed into something scary. I was running and running then someone was beside me. It was him. That Gray. I remembered that he held my hand while I was running. Now we were both running. Then I tripped. The man behind us caught me and I was hit with something. That was the time I woke up panting.

My dream felt so real that I thought that happened to me before. I gulped a glass of water again. This time to make me calm down. What was that all about? Maybe, Gajeel was right. This is just some side effect of the trauma in the orphanage. But that was 2 weeks ago. I am slowly recovering from this.

When I finished drinking my water, I went to my room and tried to sleep again. I need to sleep ‘cause school will start on Monday. I have to prepare for my things.

Gladly, my dreams didn’t bother me anymore. I no longer remember them when I woke up. I started doing my chores and Gajeel was out for work, he said. He said he will be back by dinner. And he also said that I could hang out with Levy if I wanted to. They seem to be close friends. I wonder when it happened.

I finished cleaning the house so I decided to go out and buy some things that I needed for school. It was Sunday so the city is so crowded. It was such a festive vibe. Families are happily walking, some vendors are shouting their products, some kids are playing and running along the sidewalks, and couples are walking hand in hand. This is city is so lovely.

I found a book store nearby and I entered it. It seemed they have all that I needed for school. I looked for the things and glimpse at the books that were on the shelves. I have to choose wisely in buying a book because I have to save some money for my other expenses.

“Hey, can I help you?” I turned around. Oh! It’s him again. How small was this city for us to meet again?

“Oh shit! Did I scare you?” He looked at me with worried eyes. I was stunned by his presence again.
