Chapter 14

The next day I woke up thinking that everything happened last night was a dream. Is it? I heard footsteps in our room. I opened my eyes and saw Levy and Mira preparing for a swim.  I heard their giggles but my mind seems to fly away from what’s happening here. I touched my lips hoping that I would feel his lips again. Is that a dream or is it true?

“Hey, Juvia, come on. Get up, we’re going to swim then we’ll have breakfast.” Levy said to me.

“Yeah, hurry up Juvia. And where did you go last night?” Mira asked. My eyes open wide as she asked me that.

It means it is true. He kissed me last night.

“We got worried that we thought you got lost or what.” Levy said and I saw smile in her face.

“I-I was…I went outside.” I explained.

“Yeah, and we so you…” Mira said as her smile gets wicked. I flushed. Did they saw? What? No. Oh Gosh.

I buried myself in the pillow from embarrassment. Did they see us? Kissed? I heard their laughs. Oh God! That sure is real. Last night, me and Gray…and his lips…my lips…

We really kissed.

“Don’t worry, we didn’t see anything. When you were not in the room, I asked Levy to find you. When we found you, you were with Gray. So we guess that we don’t have to worry anymore.” I looked at Mira as she is smiling at me. I buried myself again in the pillow.

Last night wasn’t just a dream. It is really true. I can’t believe it. I wanted to squeal. I wanted to jump. But Mira and Levy is here. I am really in love with him.

“You okay, Juvia?” Levy asked.

“Yeah,” I said in a low voice.

“Okay, we’ll give you some time. Come out when you’re ready.” Mira said as they got out of the room.

I rolled myself in the bed. I could not remember how I got in here last night. All I could still remember is how his lips landed to mine, how he whispered words to me.

“What can I do to make you remember me?”

“Will your lips remember the taste of my love?”

My heart keeps beating fast as I remember it. Sadly, my memories didn’t come back like that. I wish it was easy. That one kiss would make me remember so easily. Gray, I’m sorry. I felt bad. I still couldn’t remember anything. But I am sure that I felt something for him. I am sure. And it’s not just the kiss that makes me fall in love with him.

It is everything. He’s everything that I fell in love with.

I know I’m attracted to him when I met him in the dinner. I know I am attracted to him when I bumped into him at the bookstore. I know I felt something. The time when I still don’t know everything about me and him. The time when I wasn’t supposed to be attracted with my professor. The time that I should stop liking him ‘cause he’s a professor and he’s off-limits. I know I felt something.

After a while, I dress up and went outside. I found Levy, Mira, Erza and Lucy playing beach volleyball. I waved my hands on them and they smiled back. They seem to be enjoying this getaway. I walk up to the dining hall where everybody was there. I saw Evergreen drinking her coffee.

“Good morning,” I greeted.

“Morning.” He greeted too. He was standing beside the table holding a cup of coffee.

“You should take your breakfast, Juvia.” Gajeel appeared. I nodded.

I took my breakfast and watched the girls play in the beach. Lucy is great at playing volleyball. She was hitting the ball at the right timing and with Erza’s smash maybe they’ll win over Mira and Levy. The others also went to swim. I smiled at the view. These people are fun to be with.
