I'm Dating My Cold Professor

Chapter 6

“Because only the special one will call me that.” He said. I blushed. Hard.  I don’t know why I blush. I called him Gray. Why didn’t he tell me that only his girl was allowed to call him ‘Gray’?

All the girls in the room squealed. Some boys scoffed. I heard one of my guy classmate said, “Why is that a big deal to those girls?” And some said, “He’s a professor. That’s forbidden. You girls should focus on us, instead.”

But none of the girls noticed them. They are ignored.  Another girl student raised her hand and asked a question at our professor.

“So Sir, do you have a girlfriend?” All the girls laughed. And at the same time they were squealing. They were really excited about Gray – I mean Sir Fullbuster.

All of us are waiting for his answer. I am waiting for his answer. Even though, I already knew there is someone, I wanted to hear it again. When he was about to answer he looked at me. My eyes grew bigger as I saw him smile. Then, he looked away and turned to the girl who was asking the question.

“I do have.” He said. I heard collective sighs in the room. It’s a shame he has a girlfriend. I sighed, too. Yeah, it is a shame. We don’t have a chance at him anymore.

That is when the interview stopped. The girls are saddened by the news. But still, they adore their professor. In fact, he is a good one. He is our subject teacher for Advanced Algebra. Math and I doesn’t get along well so I have the lowest hope in this one. I sighed as I recall that.

Then, I remembered once he said that he’ll help me with Math!

OH! So this is what he’s talking about. He will help me because he is my professor. Oh great! Somewhat I feel so betrayed. Why do I feel so betrayed? I am not fooled by him. I didn’t even ask if he is some student or teacher here. I just assumed. But somehow I feel that way.

And it’s embarrassing. To think that I bumped into him, the dinner where I embarrassed him in front of Fairy tail guild members, and to think that I just talked to him yesterday. I face palm. My God! I should have acted smarter.

“Miss Lockser.” I immediately snapped out of my thoughts when a cold voice called me.

“Is there something you don’t understand?” He asked. All of my classmates looked at me. I blushed again. Oh I am doomed.

“N-nothing. Nothing, Sir.” I answered.

He nodded. “Okay, if there’s something you didn’t understand, just ask me. You look troubled.”

I was shocked. He noticed. Is he keeping an eye on me? Oh no! I’ll probably be forced to study so well in Algebra from now on. I am going to be watch, after all.

“Yes, Sir.” I said. Then he turned around again ad wrote at the board.

He spent his whole period discussing the first lesson. He is really great. I couldn’t help but adore him. Of course, all of them adore him. The way he spoke and explained the lessons were clear. I understood all of them. I just hope I could apply what I learned when the test comes.

“Okay, that’s all for today. See you next week and pass your hand outs.” He said. He looks authoritative yet still handsome as he said that.

All of us stood up and packed our things. Some girls giggled and waved at our professor. He just shook his head. When, I was about to walk out of the room, he called me.

“Miss Lockser,” I didn’t move. I became nervous. Am I in trouble? Really? At my first day?

 I walked toward the table where he is. He is currently packing his books. He sat in his chair and looked at me. I looked down, wondering if I am in trouble. I think of what I’ve done the whole period that he is teaching. I haven’t done something bad. Why did he call me?
