Chapter 8
Ashley-
For the last month or so, R5 has been on tour. Right now, we're in Florida, and the weather is awesome, but too much at the same time, if you know what I mean.
At the moment, we're just hanging around in the tour bus. I'm sitting on one of the couches, while Ross lays his head in my lap.
"Ash," Ross whines from my lap, as I absent-mindedly run my fingers through his long blonde hair. "I'm bored. I wanna do something."
I look down at him. "Like what, babe?" He shrugs, then sighs, closing his eyes.
The band has gotten barely any sleep, with shows every night for a week straight now.
"Go to sleep, Ross. I'll be right here when you wake up," I keep running my finger through his hair until I hear light snores coming from his mouth.
"Sleeping?" Rydel walks in with Ellington right behind her. I nod. "Yeah. He's pretty tired, so I'll let him sleep until we get to the next venue."
Rydel nods, sitting across from us with Ell, as he wraps an arm around her shoulders.
I raise an eyebrow at the two. "You together?" They both blush as Ell nods. "Yea," he smiles at Rydel, making me 'aww' quietly.
"Weirdo," Delly laughs, making me smile.
-- three hours later --
"Ross," I whisper. Ross was still asleep on my lap. "Ross, baby, time to wake up." I stroke his cheek gently, making him stir, then his eyes open.
"Mmm," he mumbles, rubbing his eyes, then he looks up at me. "How long have I been asleep?" I laugh lightly. "Three hours. Mom and Dad stopped to get something to eat, but I stayed back to wake you."
"You didn't have to," he says, clearly feeling bad. "Nah, don't worry. I like watching you sleep. You look cute when you're sleeping," I smile down at him, making him smile. "I slept on your lap the whole time?"
I nod. "Yeah. But at point, I had to use the washroom, so yeah." He chuckles. "Yeah, but you didn't have to sit here to let me sleep."
"Ross!" I laugh. "Don't worry. Seriously, it's totally fine. Trust me, okay?"
He smiles. "Okay, okay. Where did Mom and Dad stop?"
"I think it's a Chinese food place," I say, running my fingers through Ross' hair again.
"Mmm," he hums. "Don't stop doing that. It feels nice," he closes his eyes, a small smile engraved on his lips.
After about five minutes or so, I speak. "I think we should head into the restaurant. Mom and Dad might get worried."
"Aw, okay," Ross says, disappointed. I giggle. "We can continue we get back," I suggest, making him sit up.
"Let's go. I wanna get back fast," he exclaims, making me laugh, as he takes my hand.
-- in the restaurant --
"There you are!" Mom smiles at us. "Our table's over there. Go sit with the others."
Ross walks us over to the table, sitting down. I sit beside him, across from Riker.
"Hey," he grins. "What took you two so long?" He smirks now, making me blush.
"I was waking Ross up," I say. "And it took longer than expected, I guess." Ross wraps an arm around my waist, then kisses my temple softly.
"I'm sure that's what you two were doing," Riker still smirks.
