Scared (greenflame)

The ninja had been training the entire day and by the time it was time for dinner they were all exhausted.
They dragged their tired bodies over to the couch and got Zane to order pizza.
Because:
"I can't move I'm too sore!"
"I can't talk right now, I've been scarred for life by that training."
"I don't wanna do it I'm tired."
And this whining went on and on until Zane had enough of it, got up and started dialing the number.

After the pizzas had been ordered they decided to just have a movie night.
After a while of arguing they were Indiscisive between a horror movie or a comedy.
They decided to just settle on horror.

The movie started up and soon after the doorbell rang.
The pizza was here.

And so the ninja began their movie night filled with pizza and screaming at fictional monsters on a television screen.
When the credits played everyone was yawning and Cole was already asleep.
The tv was turned off and everyone got up and went to their rooms.
Jay almost tripped on the stairs because he could hardly keep his eyes open.

Once every ninja was tucked in safe and sound they all went out like a light.
Well everyone except Lloyd.
You see, even though he has faced many evils and monsters, Lloyd had never really gotten over his fear of the dark.
But normally he manages to fall asleep just fine, he could be calmed down by the luminescent glow of the moonlight and the soft snoring of his teammates.
This time however...
The movie had really spooked Lloyd.
He was never a fan of horror but right now alone in his bed, his imagination ran wild.
It was really starting to freak him out.
What if he's outside the window right now?
Eyeing him, waiting for the best time to strike.
What if he's inside?
What if he was under his bed, in his closet, hiding in the basement?!
He had no way of knowing, he couldn't make out much in the darkness when he took a peek outside.
That's what he hated most, that's why he was afraid.
He can't see anything in the dark, he mistakes things for something else and riles himself up for nothing.

'Alright that was it, no sleeping tonight I guess.'
Lloyd sighed.
He got out of bed, secretly scared something was going to grab him by the ankle from under the bed.
Lucky for him there was no one under his bed and he stepped into the halway.
He made his way to the kitchen and made some tea with sensei Wu's tea set.
Taking his tea in his hands Lloyd walked to the living room and sat down on the couch.
He grabbed the remote and turned on the TV.
'A cooking show huh?
That could be relaxing.
At least there won't be any jump scares.'
Lloyd decided to watch the show and found himself amazed by the wonderful and delicious dishes prepared.
He was so entranced by all the creations he didn't notice someone else walking into the room.

Suddenly two hands hugged Lloyd from behind and he gave a startled yell.
"Wow hey it's just me!."
Kai states.
"My gosh Kai you scared me!"
Lloyd exclaims.
"Sorry.
I wasn't even expecting anyone to be up at this time.
But then I saw you and I couldn't just let the chance go to waste!
You're always so observant it's difficult to sneak up on you!"
"Well thanks for the compliment I guess."
"No problem, can you tell me what a pretty face like you is doing here at a time like this?
It's late you should be asleep."
"Says the guy who's also awake right now."
"Whaat I had to pee!"
"Then why did you go to the living room?"
"I heard the TV and figured it we'd left it on.
I was gonna just leave it because i was too lazy.
But I still decided to check just in case it was a robber or something."
Kai explains.
"Which leaves me to ask, why are you watching TV when it's 3AM?"
"I couldn't sleep."
"Oh, did the movie scare ya?"
Kai teases.
"Yeah, a little bit."
Kai is surprised by Lloyds answer.
'But Lloyd is the green ninja, there is no way he got scared by a dumb movie!'
His thoughts rang.
"I just have a very wild imagination and when it's dark it starts running wild."
Lloyd explains upon seeing Kai's look of surprise.
"So the movie gave your imagination more scary stuff to work with and now your kind off scaring yourself?"
"I guess that's one way to put it."
"Well have no fear, the most amazing ninja of all time is here!"
Kai exclaims as he strikes a superhero pose.
"Really where?"
Lloyd teases.
"Rude."

They both laugh a little until Kai uses his elemental power to light a flame in his hand.
"You do know that there is no shame in being afraid of the dark, right?"
"I know, I just wish I wasn't."
"Well then, allow me to be your guiding light in the darkness."
Kai makes more flames arise, making the fire appear like glowing flowers.
Lloyd smiles brightly and looks at his boyfriend full of wonder and awe.

Nowadays Lloyd has no reason to be afraid anymore, after all, if he gets lost in the dark, he has a burning light to follow back home.
