Liam's POV

When I step inside the club Nina's the first person I see. Our eyes meet for a brief moment and then she looks away. I walk past her with my friends towards the bar.

We are in opposite sides of the club but my eyes rest on her every now and then, just to check she's still there.

I love watching Nina dance because she always looks so free, without a care in the world. It's beautiful to see the way she closes her eyes and actually feels the music. It's almost like the sound blasts out of the speakers right into her soul.

As I'm looking at her now, she's smiling and humming along to the song. That's when I decide tonight I'll go to her. What's the worse that can happen, right?

The music Arms Around You starts playing and that's my cue. The way she moves, I can't resist any longer. I cross the dance floor towards her and simply put my hands on her waist, dancing with her. She turns her head to see who it is but doesn't move from her place. She doesn't push me away nor leaves, she just keeps dancing. This time with me. Nina's so sexy, I don't know why I didn't do this sooner.

She rocks her ass against my hips from time to time and it drives me crazy, mostly because she's not even doing it on purpose. The song is almost over so I turn her around to face me and lean in to kiss her. She doesn't stop me like I thought she would, instead she wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me back. I never saw that coming honestly. Her lips are soft against mine and our tongues meet when she parts her lips to let me in, she tastes like cherry.

We break the kiss and Nina doesn't say anything, she just smiles and goes back to dancing. She didn't even notice her group of friends staring at us. Or maybe she did but just doesn't care.

Her sister, Rachel I think, whispers something in her ear and she takes a card out of her back pocket, handing it over. After a while she comes back with a drink and Nina puts the card away again. Then she turns to me and whispers in my ear "I need to go to the bathroom." I nod as she walks past me followed by her sister.

In the mean time I go to my friend's and tell them not to worry about me. Alison looks really pissed but I broke this off two months ago. Besides things between us were never serious, we were only messing around so there really isn't a reason for this. Mostly because she was always the one who didn't want any kind of commitment.

Alison is screaming at me but I'm more focused on checking on Nina, who is now at the bar waiting for her drink. Rachel is standing next to her. The bartender finally hands it to her and they turn to leave, but some drunk guy steps in front of her sister, blocking the way. She tries to take a step back but there's nowhere to go, she's cornered and he knows it.

Nina steps in between them to protect Rachel and the guy smirks and puts his hands on her waist, pulling her closer to him. She tries to push him away but can't manage 'cause she only has one free hand.

Before my mind can keep up, my feet start moving towards them. The guy leans in to kiss her and Nina hits him with her knee in his dick. That's all it takes for him to let go of her and take a step back. He calls her a bitch and lifts his arm up to punch her but I  arrive just in time to step in front of him and grab his arm.

"Now, that's no way to treat a lady." I say. The moment he notices me, he frees himself from my grip and goes away.

"Are you okay?" I turn around to ask them.

"Yeah, thanks for that." Nina says and kissed my cheek. "Come on, lets dance, I love this song." I grab her hand in a courageous move and lead them back to their friends. They all check in on them to make sure they're alright, then we all go back to dancing and having fun.

The club is just as I like it tonight, it's not empty nor packed. It has the right amount of people so everyone has space to move freely without bothering others, and it has a good vibe.

"Don't you have friends you need to go back to?" Nina asks after a while.

I smile, pull her closer and say "They're fine without me and I rather be with you" kissing her afterwards. She doesn't stop me this time either and keeps her body attached to mine for the rest of the night.

It's 6a.m. when we leave the club. The line to pay is huge and Nina's done before I am and the security guy asks her to wait outside to clear the room. Seconds later I step outside as well and there's that drunk asshole again, harassing her. She was the first to pay out of the group so she's alone 'cause everyone else is still inside.

She tries to walk away but he grabs her face in his hand and slams her head against the wall. I run to her, jerking him around and punching his chin. The dumbass is so fucking drunk he immediately falls on the ground.

Nina brings her hand to her head and, looking at her fingers afterwards, notices she's bleeding. She stares up at me and collapses in my arms. I lay her down gently with her head on my lap and use my jacket to put pressure on the wound.

"Is she okay?" The security guy kneels next to her.

Before I can answer him, Rachel shows up and asks me what happened, kneeling down at Nina's side too.

"That guy slammed her head against the wall and she collapsed. She's bleeding, maybe we should call an ambulance or take her to the hospital." I explain.

"I'll call an ambulance." The security guy says taking his phone out of his jeans' pocket.
