Luke's POV
It's almost 2pm and Kat texted me five minutes ago saying she was about to leave her place so she must be arriving any minute now. I hope everything turns out okay, I really don't want to mess this up.
I'm sitting on my bed, reading Wuthering Heights for the hundredth time when someone knocks on my door.
"Come in." The door opens and Kat appears. "Hey! How did you get in?" I didn't ear the doorbell ring.
"Your friend was heading out as I was about to knock." She explains.
I get up to put the book away but she sees it and snatches it from my hand.
"I don't remember you saying you like to read." She opens the book at a marked page and reads the underlined quote. "He shall never know I love him: and that, not because he's handsome, but because he's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."
"I underlined that the day we had that conversation about our bodies. The one you mentioned when you came up to me last night, remember?" I confess.
As soon as I stop talking, she closes the book abruptly and turns to place it on the shelve without saying a word. Then she walks past me and sits on the bed.
"Well, I'm here. Can you answer my question now?" She finally looks at me.
"You want the truth?" I sit next to her.
"Always." She says, laying back and I do the same.
"Well the truth is I don't regret kissing you."
"Oh, come on, Luke. We both know that's not true. I saw the way you looked at me afterwards."
"I'm really sorry that..."
"Don't apologize, I get it. You did it in the heat of the moment and it wasn't what you expected and that's fine. It happens, it's not your fault."
"That's not it. What I was going to say was: I'm really sorry that you don't believe me, but it's the truth, Kat."
"Okay then, prove it."
"How?" I'm curious. How can I prove that to her?
"Let me kiss you. Right now." Fuck. If I let her kiss me, I don't know if I'll be able to control myself like I did yesterday. But if I don't, she will probably never speak to me again. Either way, I'm screwed.
"Alright." I have to, I can't risk loosing her because of this.
We both sit back up and she leans in and holds my face with her hand. Our bodies are so close that I swear I can her heartbeat. She comes a bit closer and when our lips are about to touch, I turn my head. She sights and her hand falls on her lap.
"Goodbye, Luke." She whispers in my ear before kissing my cheek.
She gets up and walks towards the door. As she's about to turn the knob, I grab her arm and pull her to face me. I hold her face in my hands and kiss her. This one is even better than the first. My tongue licks her lips and she opens them, bringing her tongue to mine. The kiss isn't sloppy, it's slow and passionate and shows how much we want each other.
My right hand travels down her body to her waist and I pull her closer to me. She puts her arms around my neck and one of her hands grabs my hair, pulling it softly. Both my hands travel to her ass and grab it. I pick her up and she puts her legs around my waist. My lips go down to her neck, leaving a trail of kisses along the way. We're both breathing heavily and she's pressing her lips together to not moan. But when I bite her soft spot right below her earlobe, she lets a moan escape and I feel myself getting harder. I can't believe she's letting me touch her like this.
