nick and i have spent the past couple of months traveling all over the US, i am beyond thankful for a boyfriend like nick to take off from work and check off my bucket list with him. like i said we have been traveling for the past couple of months and it was just our 5 month anniversary. we had traveled to a majority of the states the last ones we had to go to were Jersey and Massachusetts, we had been purposely avoiding them because thats where we are from. we had been avoiding them because of our families are both from there and although we were ready to meet each others families, we really didnt want to face any criticism coming our way. 

nick pov: 

today was the day we were doing it, meeting each others families, i would be lying if i said i wasn't terrified to meet her family but for her to meet mine as well. 

"bye guys we will be back in a week." i yelled down the hall

"come on nick we have to hug them goodbye at least." bailey said and pulled me down the hall and we said goodbye to each of the guys individually. in the car i could tell her hand was shaking, i grabbed her hand and asked "you nervous?"

"yeah, what about you?" she asked me

"hella nervous but what ever our parents think it wont effect my feelings for you, but you shouldn't worry my parents are going to love you." i replied

"ditto to everything you just said." she smiled and grabbed my hand. 

we took our seats on the plane and made ourselves comfy for the seven hour flight we had ahead of us. "welcome to new jersey please remain seated until the green light lights up. thank you" the flight attendant spoke and we waited to do so. we walked through the airport to get our bags and then made  our way outside to wait for our uber. "ahhh fresh air" bailey said as we stepped outside taking a deep breath

"weirdo" i said to her and she playfully punched me

"who is picking us up?" she asked me

"my brother rob, he should be here any minute" i replied looking around for his car

"ok, first mara sibling" bailey said nervously

"hahahha babe you'll be fine, look there he is" i picked he up and spun here around when i then saw rob standing by his car and pointed to him and i put bailey down, "lets go" i grabbed her hand and lead her to the car

"hey bro" i bro hugged my brother and then introduced him to bailey "this is my girlfriend bailey"

"its nice to meet you" bailey said and rob replied with "you too" and hugged her, "let me guys your guys bags" rob took our bags and put them in the trunk and nick hopped into the passenger seat and i got into the back. 

"so how long you guys been together?" rob asked as he began to drive away

"just a little over five months" i told him

"wow" rob replied "so bailey i heard your an amazing dancer" rob said as he looked into the mirror so he could see bailey

"i mean i wouldn't call myself amazing but dancing is a passion" bailey replied

"she is amazing and she has her own studio called the playground la with her brother, its sick" i cut her off, because i wanted to brag to rob just how amazing she really was and i looked behind me and i saw her blushing. 

"wow congrats!" rob said and then we continued to drive making small talk and listing to music

the car ride was very chill and rob nicks brother was very nice. we arrived at nick house and i got super nervous i just froze in the back seat, what if they dont like me? "babe you coming?" nick asked and i was still frozen "babe" he said again raising his voice a little, "yeah yeah sorry" i snapped back into reality. i got out of the car and nick handed my my luggage and took my hand. "they will love you" nick whispered in my ear and i imminently got less nervous. rob walked in front of us and opened the door, he screamed "were home, and we have obtained the package" which made me and nick laugh to each other. when i entered i saw no one but then i heard footsteps coming from the end of the hall.
