Wels began to study magic at age 9. But besides that, he actually had the most normal childhood of all the hermits.
He said the reason he study ice magic was for injuries he would get during sparing practice.
Wels is not a full knight, he wants to be one day, but life got in the way. His mother had gotten cancer, which she died from after 3 years of fighting. His dad remarried, and Wels tried to connect with his step mom, but it was very hard at first. I am happy to report that he has a stronger relationship with his step mom than his dad now, mainly because she supported him after he came out as gay.
One bizarre fact about Wels I just learned, he calls his finances nicknames such as princess(Jevin) and my lord(Biffa).
And yes he does act like a knight. 24/7
