Matty's POV:
"I'm not gonna sit here any longer, Ross! Summer is out there, God knows what could've happened to her." I snapped.
"Matty, chill. Have you ever thought that Summer might have wanted to get away from this life for a while. And plus, you're not exactly in her good books at the moment. Maybe me and George should go, and you stay here with Adam and Savannah for a while and tidy the place up." Ross replied reluctantly, while looking at the trashed living room. There's always an after-math to a party.
"Okay, okay. If you and George aren't back by sunrise, I'm taking matters into my own hands."
"Didn't you put a tracker in her before?" Ross smirked.
Eureka, that's it (a/n- horrid henry moment)
"I'll go pin-point her where abouts and then we'll all go and find her." I proposed.
"I'll get the guys ready then."
***
"She should be about 200 yards into the forest." Savannah directed. I didn't want to bring Savannah along, but Adam insisted that his girlfriend would be able to knock some sense into my girl...the girl code or some shit.
"I will go and find her and you guys park the car and come and stay on guard, I might need backup." I commanded.
Walking, well, more like stumbling into the forest, I walked towards the location of Summer.
"Summer?!"
A small whimper could be heard. Following the sound, I saw a heart-clenching sight. Summer was battered to the pulp, her hair untameable and smudged makeup. Matted tears stained her cheeks whilst fresh tears fell vigorously. Oh my. Looking at the scene, I saw Summer underwear beside the tree and her ripped clothing.
Slowly, I approached her, careful enough not to alarm her. As I scooped her delicate body into my arms, Summer protested and cried, begging me to stop and not hurt her. The only way I could calm her, was to sedate her. So that's what I did.
***
Summer looked so troubled whilst she was unconscious, as if her mind was replaying the event. We all know what had happened, but none of us knew who had done it.
Her body was covered in bruises in the shape of hand marks and punches. Whoever hit her in the face was obviously wearing a ring - the gash showing clearly.
I'm going to fucking kill that son of a motherfucking bitch.
I let the guys know that I had found Summer and they all breathed a sigh of relief. I did too.
I couldn't help but feel such pain and anger. Pain for Summer. Everything she has been through. Anger for not being there. I feel so enraged with myself, when she walked out I should have been the one to go and run after her. To make sure she got home safe. Huh probably doesn't even consider the place she is held hostage a home. What was I thinking even getting close to her. I was her kidnapper. Now I've gotten so deeply consumed in her I just can't help but feel responsible.
"Matty, c'mon. You've been here for hours. You need to eat and- God what's that smell? I think you need a shower mate."
I showed a small smile at Adam's attempt to make me smile.
"If I eat and shower, she'll wake up without me by her side. She's already been through enough and I want to be there to make it right." I said with power clear in my voice.
"And if you don't eat and shower you'll die and then you'll never be able to help Summer. Just think about the long-term."
I suppose he's right.
"Promise me you'll watch over her and tell me if anything happens, anything at all."
"You have my word." Adam nodded.
***
Showering is where all of my thoughts whirl around in my mind. The good ones. The bad ones. Memories. And Summer. I still can't get my head around the fact that someone could do such a horrible thing to such a sweet person.
"No. Stay away from me. Please."
You could hear Summer's protests from miles away.
I jumped out of the shower and quickly ran towards the sobbing.
"What's going on?" I shouted. Bad move. This made Summer scream and shout more, even though she was still asleep. My baby is having a nightmare. It seems the shower isn't the only place flashbacks occur.
"Please uncle, don't do it again."
Wait. Hold up a minute. Uncle?!
Her uncle did this?!
The sad, twisted bastard.
Her eyes jerked open and rapidly filled with tears. She rocked herself back and forth, cradling herself, whilst she curled herself into a protective ball.
Hesitantly, I approached her and held her tightly in my embrace. At first, she thrashed wildly but quickly tired herself out. Her screams were gradually becoming like choked sobs and her grip on my t-shirt got weaker.
"I hate him so much. Why did he do this Matty? Why?"
I didn't have an answer for Summer, so I stayed quiet and continued to comfort her.
"I deserve it, don't I?"
"You don't deserve this Summer. Nobody deserves this, especially not you."
"It hurts so much Matty. So so much." Tears continued to cascade down her cheeks, soaking my t-shirt.
"Savannah cleaned up all your cuts up baby." I replied.
"Not there Matty. It hurts in here. It hurts so bad." Summer said as she tapped my heart. To see the person you love cry their eyes out, it's absolutely heart-wrenching. I wouldn't even wish for this to happen to my enemy. Summer's words brought tears to my eyes; tears that I desperately wanted to stay hidden. A tear slid down my cheek and before I could stop it, the unshed tears slid down effortlessly.
If it takes for Summer to get raped for me to finally see how much I care and love her, then I better start acting like a stable man that she needs and can hopefully care and love for too. This was like a slap to the face: Summer has had a traumatic childhood, she has been kidnapped and she has been raped. She definitely can't handle anymore than that.
