Summer's POV:

The bile seeping through my throat caused me to wake up and regurgitate yesterday's breakfast. You know when you have a really sore throat, and it feels like razor blades when you swallow? Well, my throat feels like that.

I had a quick shower and brushed the foul taste out of my mouth before heading downstairs.

When I walked into the kitchen, I wasn't expecting to see what I saw. There were about 15 men, cleaning the charcoal bits off the floor and practically rebuilding the kitchen. Huh?

"Erm, what are you guys doing?" I asked them.

"Cleaning up the kitchen." A worker replied.

No shit Sherlock.

"I can see that, but why?"

"There was a fire in here. Someone left garlic bread in the oven. Luckily, boss called the fire brigade before any major major damage was done."

Oops?

Dawdling around the house, I decided it was time to find a successful escape route. But first, I need to find Adam and Savannah, because they promised to help if I didn't tell Matty. Which I didn't, he overheard the conversation.

I last saw them both when Matty shot them in the leg, so that means they're probably in the household infirmary.

The infirmary room was set out like a twin bedroom. Well, sort of. There were two twin beds on either side of the room, each with a bedside table besides it. The walls were pristine white and the blinds were a dull brown. Wow, who ever designed this place obviously wasn't very artistic.

Savannah was laying down, staring at the plain wall. She reminded me of myself in some ways. She was easily tempered. She cried when she was angry. But most importantly, she didn't show her true feelings to anyone. That has been my number one tip since I have arrived here. Even the people you think you trust, you should never trust. Trust me.

Adam on the other hand, was slightly out of it. His heart heart monitor showed a smooth thumping beat of his heart, which is a good sign. However, his skin was a light grey and very pasty looking. His arms looked thin and bony, like he hadn't eaten in weeks.

"Hey Sav." I sat down besides her and put my hand on her arm. She gently pushed my hand away from her and sat in silence for a few minutes.

"He's dying," She muttered, "and it's all your fault."

What?

"I'm sorry about everything, but this, isn't any of my fault. I can't help the fact that I was kidnapped by a group of psychopaths. And after all this time, you were undercover and didn't even try to get me out. What kind of friend are you?" I snapped.

"Are very good one actually."

"And how's that?" I replied. Sure, she's spoke to me and we've had a few serious conversations, but that's not exactly a heart to heart, now is it?

"I could of ratted you out to Matty! And don't even complain right now, you weren't the one with a shot leg and left to burn in a basement."

"Oh my gosh." I whispered. I was the one responsible for the fire. This is my fault. This is all my fault. Oh my gosh.

"I'm so so sorry." I gushed.

"I've got bigger fish to fry."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"My supposed beloved is a liar and a manipulative little bastard. He's not really a police officer, or my boyfriend for that matter. One day, I saw him going into Matty's office for a closed conversation. Stupid me thought that they were planning for Adam to propose to me. How silly of me. It turns out, Adam doesn't really love me, he was just pretending so that he could report back to Matty. That's probably why Matty knew about our escape plan."

Savannah is going through such a painful time, and I'm here complaining about being in the same room as someone I dislike. Now that I've finally admitted it, it sounds childish and immature.

"It's funny." She laughed. Looking towards Adam, she said, "I could kill him right now and he couldn't do a single thing about it. So weak and vulnerable."

"Sav, have you heard yourself? You can't go around killing your boyfriend- or ex boyfriend. He may not have been lying about loving you. He may have a reason behind what really happened and why it happened." I explained. Wow, I am ghandi today.

"I don't care. He can die in hell." She said.

And that's when she did it.

She turned off his life support.

"Karma's a bitch." She whispered harshly in his ear.

Remember what I said earlier? You can't trust anybody, not even the people you think you can trust. Well, I think I've just proved my point.

Well that was intense. Adam's dead. Matty and Savannah have gone insane. Summer is confused. What's happening with George and Ross?
