"YOU WHAT!?"

It was the next day right after I got home from the cafe. Rose was still at work so it was just me and Adrian, who should have still been at work.

"I'm helping with my case at the police station, so I'm basically a detective and you're holding information about my case. I believe that is an obstruction of justice." He didn't answer, he just stared at me with a dumbfounded face. "Don't act so surprised, I told you I was going to find out more about my case and this is how I'm going to do it."

I got home and he was sitting on the couch and eating when I told him about it. I didn't mean to say anything to him, it just slipped out and once I started I thought I might as well just tell him all of it and he wasn't all that happy with the idea. But in spite of this, he still chuckled.

"It seems like you're trying to make my job harder." But his arrogant expression soon changed to curiosity. "How in the world did get yourself on your own case? You would need to talk to the head of the case and even then you wouldn't be able to join the investigation."

I thought about James. My dislike for him before was now turning into admiration and gratitude, but there was still some loathing in there.

"Yeah I know, I talked to the head of my case. He doesn't know anything of use though, and that is why you need to stop being so senseless and talk to me about what you know."

"Why do you always have to be so difficult. You could have stayed at home gotten a job, even a boyfriend for crying out loud! But no, you have to go look into exactly what got you amnesia in the first place."

Every time I talked to Adrian he always told me more than I knew before even though he always swore he wouldn't tell me anything. It was like he forgot I didn't know any of this.

Because I used to know all of this. I thought to myself

"The thing is I did do all those... short of the boyfriend thing. All I did this past month was work at the cafe and stayed home. It was so boring. I feel like I'm wasting my life away."

He smiled a little bit as though he was remembering something, but I was on a roll and I was going to get information out of him today. "You're going to tell me about my case or I'm going to put you into police custody for obstruction of justice."

"You are not a police officer and you have no proof I know anything about your case."

"I am friends with someone who is a police officer and according to the article on the RSA news website, you know a lot about my case. That article was the first article online that knew that much about my case and it was under your name. The police haven't put two an two together because they're stupid but I on the other hand did and I think that information would be valuable to their case." His expression showed that my accusations had no effect on him, but I knew better and it was proved when he said.

"Alright, I'll help you. But not out of fear. I know you would never put in in prison because your gut tells you not to, so stop threatening me."

"So tell me then."

"Okay tell me what you want to know." He asked as though I was a little kid, which I might as well of be because I was at a loss for words. I didn't know what I wanted to know, only that I wanted to know it. So I answered with the typical starter line.

"tell me everything."

"Ask me about a specific category so I know what you are asking for."

"ok tell me about-" I never got to finish because Rose decided this would be the perfect moment to interrupt.
