Chapter 18

THE DAY OF THE CONVENTION. I didn't get off work so I walked to the cafe with adrian in silence.

"I didn't see you ce back in past night." I said breaking the silence.

"Yeah, I got a call from work they needed me to do something."

"At 12 o'clock at night?" I turn to him my sour attitude forgotten.

"Yeah, well if they need you to do something then there's no choice but to do it."

"No wonder I purposely got myself fired." I joke to lighten up the mood.

He just nods.

"So... do you have a date for the convention today?" I ask not looking him in the eye. Rose said she already told Adrian about what I said.

"... do you?"

I dont say anything back and he remains silent.. until we reach the cafe.

"Look im really sorry for what I said to you yesterday day, I was out of line."

"Yes you were. But dont sweat it because I'm a forgiving person and honestly, I would love to be your date to the convention if you need one." I smile up at him until he also smiles at me, and thankfully he does.

"Alright, I will pick you up at 7. Don't be late." He starts walking away.

"You aren't going to come in and order?"

"No I just wanted to walk you here. See you tonight."

"What was that?" I turn around and face lucy.

"Nothing, go inside there are customers waiting."

I'm about to walk in but somthing I see stops me. I see Zack walking away from the cafe. Weird he didn't even order.

Time skip

I check the time, its exactly 7.  I wait on the couch until I hear a knock on the door. I walk over to open it. And see adrian in a tux.

"Well dont you look nice." I joke as I walk out the door hearing my heels clack against the cement. (Rose made me wear them)

"I try. But you look beautiful."

"Says the guy I take orders from"

"Set myself up for that one didn't I?"

"Yeah you did. Nice ride." I say as I get into his car.

"Yeah its a company car."

"Ah, maybe I should start working there again if this is how they treat you." He just laughs

Once we get there there I realize how high class this things is.

"So what exactly am I supposed to do here?" I ask adrian

"Well employees are basically supposed to show off their conpanys and smooth out disagreements. But you, well your just expected to show off your self. And RSA if you really want."

"Alright I'll see what I can do." We walk around and adrian talks to a lot off different people. From what I understand RSA is one of the company's that is supposed to "smooth out disagreements". 

"Wait RSA is the company from tv? The same one on trial?"

"Yeah that's kind of the reason we organized this event was to show that we are ok."
