As the sun begins the rise I continue on my work, studying artifacts found in the kingdom of Acaria. When I surprised them after I had begged to be an archaeologist, they were more than happy to let me join, but I told them I changed my mind. They said they'd do anything, so we made a deal. Any artifact I find, I choose whether or not to share my findings.

As I've stated before I know things about Acaria that they don't know is that I know all the secrets of Acaria Amnia Nile, her ancient secrets. Her grandfather had change the last name Nile, but the original last name was Nilelabal. I know everything that happened between Acaria's birth to her earning her great title. During Acaria's reign the birth of vampires was evident. Vampires have lived amongst humanity for centuries, and Acaria new.

I know this Great Queen Acaria thing eats at Logan, and I may seem cruel for hiding all the history changing information from him; but some things are meant to be buried.

I look out the window of our luxury hotel room. The sky is a purple orange color as the sun still continues to rise. It brings back memories of I and my parents watching it together. Those sweet days are long gone, along with them. As much as I miss them I know they must be disappointed in me, yet love is still in their hearts as they look at me from above. My desperation to have a family again, to feel loved destroyed what I was too blind to see; because of me I lost the last bit of family I had.

Forgiveness is to much for me to ask. I was played as a fool and was forced to deal with the consequences of my foolish actions.

"Laura, are you ready for school?" Logan asks, the dark circles under his eyes proving he had stayed up all night. I grab my bag and nod. The both of us head out to the jeep, then head off to school. Logan drops me off and I head to my first period. It could feel the uneasiness coming off Aiden as I sat down. "T-t-thank you for helping m-me out yesterday." Now I see, he's nervous. "No problem, I was only doing what was right." I tell him, his eyes sparkle once more.

It would have pained me to have to watch him get beaten up by someone ten times his size. I wonder why Diana dislikes Aiden. I mean I know I've only known him for a day, but he didn't seem like someone bad.

I've had my fair share of horrible people. There's a reason why I don't trust people and to why they usually are scared of me. There was a time were I was cheerful and filled with infinite happiness. A time where I had no fears of the future. That old me died long ago; at first I had believed it died with my parents, but then I realized it died with my people.

"This might sound weird but my brother, Luke, couldn't stop asking questions about you." Aiden tells me in a whisper. My thoughts then go to Luke, I could sense something about him. He gave off a feeling of someone who is dead, like a vampire but there was a warmness in his eyes that many vampires lack. "Please don't be offended by this, but does he treat you right?" I ask hoping my question didn't sound like I was asking if he was an abusive brother. Aiden is surprised by the question, but he doesn't hesitate to answer.

"No, actually he's the best. He takes great care of me though he does have flaws." Aiden answers happily with a sparkle in his eyes as he praises his brother. "Is there anything particularly strange about you're brother?" I ask causing a confused and surprised reaction from Aiden. I could tell he is trying to hide something, but he answers. "No, he's a normal person." Aiden tells me, his voice shaking a bit in the process.

This must mean there's a chance Luke is a vampire. I need to find a way to make him show it to me. I am the mother of vampires, because of me they exist. I kill any vampire that dares hurt a human without consent. There are some humans that allow vampires to have their blood without being compelled to. I have to make sure that Luke is a good vampire.

Vampires despise me with every bit of they're blood. Initially they believed that Akazail was they're queen, but that wasn't the case.

Flash Back

"Akazail! Come over here!" I shout to Akazail who is currently working on a new building. She waves to the other workers before leaving them to head over to me. "I know it's getting late, but I must speak with you." I tell her before I lead her into the palace. Once we're in a place where we won't be disturbed we stop walking.

"I need to ask something that maybe a lot, but I promise you will be given a title of nobility." She gives me a questionable look, but nods for me to continue. "I want to turn you into a vampire, but with magic." Akazail is surprised by my request making her go silent. "Anything for you, my queen." She replies.

I use a great deal of magic to turn her without having to feed her my blood.

As time passed I noticed a a change in Akazail, as if something had clicked in her. It's as if the power now granted to her is going to her head. This is Akazail, she's a good person that would never betray her queen, and friend.

Flash Back Ends

Instead of investigating, I just let it be as if nothing was wrong. The power of being a noble and a vampire went to her head, making her actually believe she was the mother and queen of vampires. I and her were the only vampires at the time, but she quickly found a way to create more vampires; spreading it around the world. When I proved that I was the true queen vampires were enraged. Akazail was a ruthless woman who killed just for the fun of it. The vampires didn't like the fact that their actual queen was a kind hearted being.

Once a human turns into a vampire they either lose their humanity or stay the same, but that's a rare case. Only those who have a strong heart or soul will stay the same. Akazail lived the life of a untouchable, but once she had a power close to mine it all went to her head. She then had a hate for all life and was determined to rid people of their lives. She even tricked me with the cruelest of things. I was blind then, it took me to lose everything to realize that. She went to sleep as she soon began to feel weak. Once she woke up I was determined to to drain every last drop of blood from her body and take back the power I wasted on her.

But someone beat me to it...

"Aiden, mind if I come over to your house so you could maybe teach me to write, in English that is." I ask getting a flustered reaction out of him. His pale cheeks turn rosy red at the question. "Um s-sure." He replies making me happy. I'll actually have him teach me, but I'll also investigate Luke. I'm a determined woman who doesn't take no for an answer.

"Laura, does this look familiar to you? And if so would you decipher it for the class." Mrs. Caloon requests of me as she displays a picture of one of the hieroglyphics found at the palace where I once lived. "Days pass, as sleeping times for them, nights they prey on those whom cannot defend, it is a curse that will be forced upon humanity for as long as time." The rest was broken off. It tells the tail of the vampires, I know cause I wrote it.

"Amazing, you read it with such ease!" Mrs. Caloon praises me.

"She could of just made it up." Diana sneers not believing me. "Diana what do I look like to you?" Many people think I'm Mexican, but I'm not. "I don't know, a try hard." She responds with a sour face. "I'm from Egypt, and I learned as a child to decipher this. So, don't call me a liar for something you don't truly understand." My classmates laugh at Diana.

Aiden laughs quietly, so quiet that I barely could hear him.

Again the day passes by fast; I look up at the sky as I wait for Luke. I called Logan and told him I was going to stay at someone else's house for the night, he was quite overjoyed about the matter.

Suddenly a pain over comes me...my stomach...
