Chapter 10

Luke moves around the living room so there's space for me to teach Aiden how to fight. I've given him the Black Blood dagger, but he needs to know how to use it instead of just swinging it everywhere. I go outside and find two sticks for both me and Aiden to spare with. I hand the stick to Aiden, who gives me a confused look.

"Why are we using sticks?" He asks me with furrowed eyebrows. "You're not allowed to use the dagger until you master using the stick." I answer his question. He has thin arms with barely an ounce of muscle.  I know all he needs to do is have some part of the dagger to touch a vampire then they'll die, but I don't see someone who would harm another in him. I bare the whole world on my shoulders, I have to keep the balance between the supernatural and humans. I have to handle gods, mainly Zeus's attitude, most of the time.

I have no issue with dealing with those who upset the balance or hurt the innocent. Aiden is the type of person who will deal with the pain of being hated by others, like when Diana tried to have her bodyguard fight Aiden. I had to force him out of the ring so I could deal with the problem. Because of this I find it weird that he wants to wield a to another and cause pain or in the vampires case, death. I want to question him for his reasons, but I don't think I should prey to deep into others business.

"I want you to come at me." Aiden hesitates before he takes his first steps, using my speed I come up behind him, pressing my stick up against the middle of his back. "Never hesitate, especially in front of a vampire, because they won'r hesitate to kill you for a second." I whisper into his ear before taking a step back. Hesitation is the worst feeling to have before fighting a vampire. reason why Alfred is still alive; I've been hesitating about killing him due to the feelings I once had for him. I'm powerful which makes up for that, but Aiden is weak an powerless against a vampire.

"As much as I would like to teach you more, I must head back to where I'm staying."

I look over at Luke then back at Aiden. "Spare with Luke for the meantime." I suggest to Aiden before I walk out the door.

It doesn't take long to make it back when using my speed. I walk into the room quietly as everyone seemed to be working on something. Ace was cleaning up some artifacts, Logan on what seems to be an important phone call, and Don trying to see if a piece of stone from a hieroglyphic fits with another we have.

While I still have the time I need to find out how I can block Orion from seeing what I'll do when I do the spell, but it seemed like he wasn't going to let that tablet out of his sight; this can be problematic. Knowing Orion, he'd try to catch proof and make billions of me. While he'd be living to lavish life I'll be in science labs as scientists would try to figure out as to why a thousand year old queen is still alive. This maybe my one and only chance to bring back my people from the dead so they can live their life fairly ow.

I'm also considering having Luke come with me, so that Orion will feel comfortable. I've lived so long in an endless amount of pain due to the stupid mistake I made all those centuries ago. It was so easy to avoid, yet I was dumb enough to fall into her trap; to make things worse I did't even try to break free from my chains to help the very people who cried out my name for help. It took for all my people to die for me to realize that they were my family.

I sometimes wonder what they'd think of me once I brought them back to life; would they hate me, throw rocks at me til their satisfied with all the marks they'd leave upon my body that will soon heal. Or will they be able to see the scar left upon my heart when they all died, and forgive me for the tragedy I let happen. To be honest I'd prefer the first one, I deserve to  receive punishment for how reckless a queen I was. I still remember the day I received this power that my body holds til this day.

The power that made me a god.

Flash Back

I walked casually down the hall of my great palace. My heart still aches from the news I received a year ago, the news that crowned me pharaoh and queen. My father went into war with a once friend who betrayed us; mother went along to treat any wounded, but neither of them came back. Once I had spotted the men returning I rushed to them to find mother and father and that's when they told me. They didn't make it.

All my happiness, joy, and emotion has seemed to have died along with them. I was crowned pharaoh and queen not long after that. In order to honor my parents deaths I have done my absolute best to care for the kingdom that they have given to me by birth. Though I rarely smile or even show any emotion at all the people still love me.

As I reach the middle of the hallway I come to an abrupt stop. I begin to clench my chest as an unbearable pain makes itself present in my heart. My knees begin to buckle from beneath me, leading me to fall onto my knees. The pain is so intense that I can't udder a word let along a sound. My vision begins to blur and I fall face flat onto the stone flooring of the palace. Black dots soon pop up in my vision before I feel my heart stop beating.

I will except my fate, if it is my time then leave it be. I shall allow Anubis to embalm me to prepare my body for the afterlife.

I open my eyes, feeling greatly surprised that I am not dead. What is going on? I ask myself.

"You have a great power within you now, Acaria."

I look towards the direction only to be greeted by the god Anubis who was currently kneeling before me. "I shall be kneeling before you great Anubis!" I say desperately, feeling slightly weird that a god is kneeling before me; someone below him.

"Today a god of great power has been born, and shall be praised and worshiped by all." Anubis says as he rises onto his feet. "Who is this god you speak of great Anubis?" I question so I can have preparations for this new great god to worshiped by the people. "You, Acaria Amnia Nile have been reborn into an immortal, yet you are so much different from other immortals such as me." Anubis tells me, his words shocking me. I have been reborn as a god!?

"Great Anubis, I believe I do not understand what you mean. I am nothing but a broken queen who rules these lands, not a great god." I explain to him as I'm only filled with disbelief. He shakes his head at me. "How have I even been gifted this?" I ask still not believing it to even be possible for me to be a god. "I do not know, but you were." Anubis answers, uncertain to as of how I have been gifted these powers that are earning me the title of god.

"From this day on, you are destined for greatness, and no one shall stop you."

"Goddess and ruler of the world, Acaria."

Flash Back Ends

I soon learned of the powers that my body now had contained. The power was so great that it killed me, reason as to why I felt such intense pain in my chest. After that day my people began to notice something different about me, and dubbed me a woman with god-like powers.

I am no great woman nor a great god.
