It's finally the weekend, I told Logan that I'll spend the weekend at a friends house. "Instead of spending the night on the couch, why won't you spend it in my bed, Acaria." Like tease as he snakes an arm around my waist pulling me closer to him. "Aiden go up to your room, the grown ups are talking." Luke tells him, I elbow him in the side before sitting on the couch. "Sorry Luke, but I prefer the couch." I state; I look over at Aiden who's cheeks are redder than a rose at full bloom. I get up then walk over to him, I press my wrist against his forehead to check for a fever.

"You're fine, yet your cheeks are red." Aiden avoids meeting my eyes, then walks right past me. Is he alright? He doesn't have a fever perhaps I angered him in some sort of way. "Aiden, I'm sorry for anything I might have done wrong." I apologize for the unknown in hopes to cheer up Aiden. "You don't need to be sorry." Aiden says in a hushed voice. With that he heads up to his room.

I look towards Luke for answers, but he just shrugs his shoulders. "He's been acting that way ever since we encountered that jackass." Luke tells me referring to Alfred as jackass. I wouldn't blame him for calling Alfred such a foul word, he did order his men to kill Luke and Aiden. That's when it hits me.

"Maybe Aiden is slightly traumatized after what happened." I propose an idea as to why Aiden is acting weird, but it doesn't quite explain why he's avoiding me. "He may seem weak and fragile, trust me he is, but that isn't something that would traumatize him." Luke tells me as he drinks a cup of coffee. Coffee is the only thing that has any sort of flavor or actually tastes nice to vampires. It can be used to suppress thirst.

"Luke, are you hungry?" I ask, watching him chug down the coffee like someone might do to alcohol. Alcohol is also a drink to suppress the thirst of vampires, yet just like humans vampires can still get drunk or still be effected by. "Hella." He answers as he looks down on the ground.

"What have you been feeding on all this time?" I ask, I mean he isn't rotten skin and bones meaning he's getting blood from somewhere. "This lady would donate, but she died last month." Luke says, looking a little sad as the words of her death roll off his tongue. "Have you tried feeding on animals?" It's something that is quite rare, but vampires who don't want to feast on humans to a degree or haven't found someone who would donate would sometimes drink the blood of animals.

"I have to protect Aiden, animal blood would make me weak." Luke says as he pours another glass of coffee. I pull a needle out from my pocket. The night after the confrontation with Alfred I decided to go hunting for vampires up to no good, one of them by chance had a syringe full of daylight water. The vampire was also unable to be in the sunlight due to bloodline, so I guess he was going to take this.

"Give me your arm." I ask of him; he lends out his hand then I slowly inject the daylight water into his blood stream. He pulls away and holds the area where I had injected the daylight water. "What the hell was that!?" Luke asks in surprise.

"Daylight water." His tense expression then relaxes once he knows what the liquid was. "You can drink animal if you want to or not, but I will assist in protecting you're brother if that makes you feel any better." I assure him hoping he will. With the blink of an eye he vanishes hopefully to feed on some sort of animal. Aiden finally exits his room and comes downstairs.

He takes a seat on the couch, still avoiding contact with me.

"Aiden, what's wrong?" I ask out of worry; he usually doesn't act this way, even Luke found it weird. "I don't want to tell you..." He says in a soft voice, "fine but you have to tell me one of these days." I demand in a teasing manner which earns me a soft giggle from the gloomy boy.

Hours later Luke returns with a sour look on his face. "I hate animal blood." He hisses as he goes to the kitchen to wash his mouth to probably to rid his mouth of the taste.
