Chapter 20

Some years have pasted and Acacia is now five years of age. In the daytime Aiden takes care of her as I work around the kingdom, I take care of her at night. She has lively bright golden eyes, dark brown hair like mine, powdered white skin like her father. She acts like him in a way when being cute, but when she's serious she resembles me.

The situation regarding Hera is still a mystery, but she's still alive...barely.

I watch Acacia play in the sand as the sun begins to slowly set.

"Acaria."

Someone calls out to me, I turn around as I recognize the voice. Hera. She walks towards me with a bright smile on her lips. She's in pain...

"I will die soon, the first out of all my brothers since the day we were born." She informs me of something I am fully aware of, but it hurts more to hear it from her. None of the children of Cronus have died yet, so none of them have been reincarnated yet, but I afraid Hera might be the first. "I want you to do me some favors." She requests of me, trying to hide the fact her body is weak and dying,

"One, please do not tell a soul that you saw me, I want Zeus to still hold onto hope."

"Two, I do not wish to be reincarnated."

I'm fine with the first one but the second. "I can't do the second, someone must take over the job of being the goddess of marriage and birth." I explain to her in a sad tone that her second wish is impossible to complete. "I just need someone willing, correct?" She asks, I nod questionably.

"I know what you hide from the others, a child of great power such as your own, your child." Hera pulls off her ring, her ring is silver with red gem stones called Heratonite, a gem stone I created. It's the only one in existence, the ring contains her aura and power. She walks over to Acacia.

I should of known she would be the only one I couldn't hide Acacia from.

She bends down on one knee before Acacia. "I need you to keep this with you forever and let no one else have it." Hera places the ring on Acacia's index finger. Acacia's eyes widen at the beauty of the ring. "Thank you auntie." Acacia calls her auntie out of nowhere, getting a laugh out of us both. "She is the only being I can entrust this ring to." Hera says.

"Goodbye, old friend." She bids before walking away into the vast land covered in sand. a tear rolls down my cheek as I watch her go. I was there for her birth, and now she's sparing me the sight of her death.

Goodbye young Hera.......
