I hear something off in the distance, I pull out of the hug. "Somethings wrong." I state feeling highly alarmed.
"Luke!" I exclaim as I realize he might be in some sort of danger. Before I run out the door Aiden grabs the end of my shirt.
"I'm coming." He states with a determined look in his eyes. "No-"
"He's my brother." I don't have the time to argue, so I just sigh and let him follow me. We make it to the forest where Aiden and Luke took me last time. When we get there we are greeted with a terrifying scene. Luke's tied up to a tree with a large deep slash going from his collar bone to the end of his stomach. Alfred walks from behind the tree with a smirk playing his lips. "He's a vampire, he'll heal up." Aiden says trying to hide the pain in his eyes. His wound isn't healing meaning...
"I used a vervain tainted knife." Alfred says as he slowly presses the knife against Luke's skin, he screams in agony. I jump at Alfred, knocking the blade from his hand.
This is my fault if I hadn't hurt Luke then he wouldn't have had ran away, but I couldn't let him be mean to Aiden that way.
Because I just might share the same feelings Aiden has for me.
Alfred flips our positions so he's on top of me. Aiden grabs the blade then carefully breaks the ropes that bound Luke to the tree. Alfred seems to be alone, meaning I'll handle him alone. Luke wraps an arm around Aiden's neck to help support his body. "Aiden go! I'll handle Alfred!" Aiden hesitates at first but he knows the well being of his brother is far more important, plus I'm stronger than Alfred. I'm not trying to use all my strength, but Alfred doesn't seem like he'll let up any time soon.
I bare my teeth into his neck, he freezes dazed by what's happening. I don't bite too hard, but enough for me to get blood and to stun him for a bit. Once I'm done I vanish, leaving him to calm himself down after what just happened.
When I make it back to the house Aiden has Luke on the couch, trying his best to assist his wounds. "Acaria! His wound isn't healing!" Aiden points out what I already knew. Alfred drained Luke of his blood so he would be unable to regenerate after that cut, and to make worse he used a vervain stained blade with makes healing even more difficult.
"I don't know what to do..." Aiden says as he looks at his brother's weak body, tears begin to fall from his green eyes like raindrops off a leaf.
"Do you want to help him?" I ask Aiden, who looks up at me from his crouched down position. He nods with teary eyes. "He needs blood or he'll die." I tell him, Aiden instantly understands by what I mean. Luke needs blood right now, and we don't exactly have the time to find another human who would be willing to donate.
I grab a cup from the cabinet and the sharpest knife. Aiden walks up to me, ready. I motion for his wrist, he lays it in my hand; he winces as he sees the blade near his wrist. "I won't cut anything important, and close your eyes if you feel uncomfortable." I assure him, he closes his eyes and faces away from the scene. I cut his wrist ever so carefully to ensure I don't cut anything important. Aiden gets goose bumps as he feels the blood slowly roll down his wrist into the cup. Once there's a decent amount I wrap Aiden's wrist in some bandage to stop the bleeding.
"It's over now." I inform Aiden so he can open his eyes. I take the cup then walk into the living room. I place my hand under Luke's head to help him drink the blood. Once the cup is empty I rise up to my feet. I notice that his wound starts to heal quickly, a sense of relief washes over me at the sight.
"Let him rest for a while to regain his energy." I tell Aiden as I wash out the cup. "I thought vampires didn't need rest?" Aiden asks confused.
"When vampires come back from an experience like that they rest to regain their energy, due to the fact what he went through was a body traumatizing experience and possibly a mental one too." I explain to Aiden. He lays his head on my shoulder, in return I lay my head on his. We stay like that for awhile, enjoying each other's company.
The next morning I inform Logan that I can't go to school today and that I'll be at my friends house.
Aiden is still asleep due to how much he cried last night, making him extremely exhausted. I stayed in the living room to watch over Luke. Luke slowly begins to rise up, I rush to his side to help him. I help sit him up, he coughs a bit but nothing too bad.
"I thought I was going to die." Luke says as he rubs the back of his head, he seems to be confused as to why his wounds have disappeared. "Aiden gave you some of his blood to help you." I answer the question before he even utters a word to ask it. As if on queue. Luke instantly notices the bandage on Aiden's right wrist. "Thank you, Aiden." Luke tells him with a genuine smile, making Aiden smile as well. Aiden runs up to hug his brother. Luke groans at the impact. "Oh sorry!" Aiden apologizes with a terrified expression on his face. Luke only laughs then pats Aiden's head. "No worries."
It warms my heart to see them getting along again.
"So are you two dating?" Luke asks stunning both I and Aiden by the sudden question. Aiden looks down with rosy red cheeks. "I would like that." I feel my own cheeks heat up as I look at Aiden.
"Sorry, but give me some time." I comment not feeling ready to date someone after he admitted his feelings and not I. My feelings are there, but I'm just not ready for something like that.
Aiden looks down, feeling slightly hurt by my words. "But..."
He perks up at me, "I look forward to it in the future." I say nervously, Aiden smiles brightly before hugging me tightly.
I like you Aiden....
