"So how was you're sleep over?" Don asks after leaving his desk, slightly frustrated after the hieroglyphic didn't fit with another we had. These guys work hard, yet come out empty handed. "Alright, nothing special." I reply as I lay back in my chair, feeling to weak to really want to do anything. I must be hungry, I usually don't fight a lot especially how I fought in the forest with Alfred. It must of taken quite a bit of energy out of me. I don't want to eat, I did just leave Luke and Aiden's house.
I notice Don glaring at his work station that he just left behind. "You know, we have more pieces and fragments at our main base in London; maybe it'll fit with a piece there." I try to comfort the very frustrated Don. Don may be a fun loving guy, but he has a burning passion for being a archaeologist. When we discovered the temple he was all over the thing for hours to try and enter the thing. He wanted to know what secrets and truths that were possibly hidden behind the temples sold stone doors.
Next to the temple is a pond that is always clear no matter the circumstance. That's how you enter the temple. Only those who are worthy enough are able to enter, but there is something that lurks at the entrance that is to keep all outsiders from entering the temple aside from me. The doors on the temple are meant to be a distraction, so outsiders may never enter.
"I was going to have you read what was on the stone, but you had already gone to you're friends house."
"Ace did it for me instead and what was on it was kinda strange." My curiosity is perked by Don's comment. Ace can also read the hieroglyphics but it takes him longer to decipher them. "What did it say?" I ask as I sit up in my seat, giving Don my full attention.
"Something like, 'the great Anubis has greeted me with his great presence today with news that nearly knocked the breath out of me, he told me that."
"that's it, it cuts off at 'that'." Don tells me, my body tenses. I wrote that the night I had became who I am today. I barely destroyed anything in the palace except for some things that told of my becoming a goddess. They must of found one of the pieces that I destroyed. "Either she was hallucinating or she had a dream, cause we both know that dog headed man doesn't exist." Don says as he gets up to walk over to Ace who waved at him for some assistance. Anubis does exist and you should respect that hard working man.
After I had be reborn Anubis helped me adjust to my new life, and the responsibilities I was now in charge of. Of course, him treating me as his superior was quite strange since I was originally below him. About four months later I was used to my duties as a god, and I went on a trip where I met some that I still hold dearly to this day.
Cronus.
Flash Back
I'm heading to the new land called Greece. I walked around the land that barely held anyone, but farmers. Osiris spoke of this land and thought that maybe I should visit it, reason as to why I'm here now. As my eyes ran across the land they happened to land upon a man who didn't seem to blend in with the others. Black silky hair that partially covered hid right eye, clothes that showed the muscles that he didn't seem to mind showed. I walked up to the man in pure curiosity.
"May I ask the name of the foreign man?" I ask as my eyes scanned him, he gave me a bright smile in response to my question. "I am no foreigner, but a man who wishes to protect the people he grew up around." He answers, quickly bowing his head in my presence. "I am Cronus, and it is an honor to be in the presence of nobility; which may I ask the question as to why such a woman of you're status is here?" He introduces himself. There's something inhuman about him, as in supernatural; a word that Anubis had told me the humans would think of us as.
"I heard of a small place called Greece and wanted to see it for myself."
I reply as I look around the land more, before landing my eyes back onto him. "Pardon me for asking, but are you human?" I ask having no other way to word the question. Cronus's almost black eyes widen at the sudden question, throwing him completely off guard. "If I told you you wouldn't believe a word I said, milady." He says instantly wiping the surprise off from his face.
"Try me," I challenge, now really wanting to know what secrets this man is hiding behind that mask.
"I'm a Titan, a creature of great power."
"What coincidence, I'm a creature of great power but I do believe it maybe greater than you're own." I say in a teasing manner.
Flash Back Pauses
After that fateful day me and Cronus became close friends until the incident; it was almost as if something had clicked in him that made him turn into pure rage. Cronus was a powerful god of the titans that could destroy anything he wanted to. I blessed his children with the gifts of being gods, making them my kin. That day I was the god of the Greek gods. The day he was told one of his son's would over throne him turned him into a monster.
Flash Back Resumes
I was blown back by the burst of energy being given off by Cronus as he began to transform into his titan form. Once I was back on my feet I looked at the situation before me. Cronus was trying to kill his now teenage sons, and Rhea. He was trying to devour them so their power would flow into him. Using my power I stop him, I freeze his entire body. Cronus is my equal, but today that may change.
Cronus freed himself from the freezing spell I had cased upon him. Using much of my power I was holding him back.
"Run children!" I shout to his children; memories of me spending time with them started to fill my mind. I loved them as I would my own, Hades smile, Hera's love for all, Zeus's stubbornness, Poseidon's lazy habits, and Hestia always making me feel home. I am not going to let Cronus kill off the children I know deep down he loves!
I release my aura, giant powerful woman who looks to be made of gold. I make a chain throwing motion, making my aura throw a chain around Cronus.
"Be gone!"
I shout as the chains wrap tightly around Cronus, then dragging him into a white box with golden symbols. More chains surround the box keeping him encased, forever.
Flash Back Ends
Til this day he still remains in the box, locked away in the deepest darkest parts of Tartarus. His children still have a hate for him, but I still care for him. After that day I helped out mentor Cronus's children. They all have become fine women and men. I used to visit him, he is able to show his spirit that looks like him in human form. We used to talk, and he'd ask about his children. The chains are powerful, so even though one may open the box you must have a special spell to truly free him. The day I locked him in the box Odin, who believed I was the weakest of the weak, bowed down before me.
No god has defied me since that day. Cronus was the god of all, but I took his title with one fell swoop. I guess that was what Anubis meant by, 'destined for greatness'. I've grown stronger since that day. No other god can surpass me, but my own. I am not allowed to die without a heir to my throne, but I doubt that will ever happen.
The world no longer wanted Cronus, but me of all people. I was told I was god of all, and I guess that meant Cronus must be out of the picture. I don't like the idea of it being worded like that since Cronus was a dear friend to me.
The dearest I suppose.
