Jasper's voice was like waiting for rain during a drought. You got excited when the clouds went grey, hoping the sky would open and quench your thirst. Even a cool breeze felt like a tease. Every time Jasper opened his mouth it was the same one sing...

Dance cleared my head. Dance seem to be an escape from everything, from everyone. I watched as Regina left, my mind still scrambling back to her words. I didn't want Lucas to like me, and I prayed that Jasper didn't. There are to many things wrong me. To many times I've been hurt. As much as Lucas drove me crazy, he deserved someone who'd didn't carry so much baggage someone who could commit. I couldn't see my self committing, not after what happen to me.
It was far more easier to hate Lucas. Hate is less complicated than love.
" Where have you been!" Nani exclaimed she approached with a worried expression.
" What are you talking about Bee?" I asked in confusion.
" You're preforming in 5 minutes!"
Say what now!
" What are you talking about I never open-"
" We'll you are tonight. Ruby is having a damn panic attack and Mrs.Leta doesn't want to go without her or the formations we'll be off." Nani explained. I sure as hell didn't expect to be preforming so soon. I nodded accepting that I'd be going first. Both of us bolted across the festival gaining stares as we flew by. Crazy enough going first was a blessing. I needed to dance to clear my mind. I needed to actually feel good about my self and dance. Dance did just that.
" You're going to do great." She said as we ran. I ignored her still not forgetting about that stunt at the Bonfire. " Do you think Jasper is coming?"
No.
I didn't invite him. We've been talking for weeks yet, I never invited him to the festival. Not that he needed my invitation but I couldn't imagine him coming on his own. It just didn't seem like his crowd. I never asked, because I didn't think he would be comfortable coming.
I ignored her once again, to out of breath to talk. We came to a stop on the side of the stage. A group of the other dancers crowded around Ruby one of our newer dancers. Her make up was done to perfection yet, that didn't seem to matter because if she kept on crying she would be anything but.
" Get it together Ruby!" Carly demanded. She was clearly frustrated fully dressed in her cream white leotard with her red hair in a bun. Apart of me wanted to breath fire just as Cary did. Tell Ruby to get her cry baby ass up and preform.
But I'm trying to be less of bitch.
" Kinsley thank Goodness you're here!" Relief washed over Mrs.Leta's face. Ruby looked up with red swollen eyes as I approached.
" Where the hell have you been? We where suppose to meet here when we first arrived." Carly barked. I roll my eyes. " As if me being on time would stopped our mid life crisis." I replied as I stepped out of my sweet pants and threw off my hoodie. Ruby sobbed even harder at the reference to her earning another eye roll from Carly.
