Stefanie's P.O.V

It was Tuesday morning, 7:20 and I was already in my office, even though I was everything else but awake. I had probably slept for about 4 hours last night.
Mr. Greenfield hasn't arrived yet so I just started to answer to some emails on my laptop. At around 7:35 my phone went off and I already knew that it was  Mr. Greenfield. "Good morning. Come to my office" he told me as I picked up and he instantly hung up again. Knowing that he didn't like to be kept waiting, I left what I was doing right now and quickly made my way to his office.

"Good morning sir" I said as I walked in after knocking. "I'm gonna be holding a charity event in two weeks. I need you to do some preparations for me. It's gonna be your main focus until then." he told me, once again jumping straight to the point. I nodded as I made my way over to his desk. "First of all you need to pick up the invitations and then make sure that they're sent to everyone on this list" he explained, handing me a list full of names. "When you're done, I'll tell you what you're gonna do next. This is gonna be representing A.G. corporation and it's gonna influence my reputation, which means that I will not accept anything less than perfect. Clear?" he asked with an intense expression. "Yes sir. I will make sure of it" I told him and nodded. He seemed to be back to full on boss mode again now.

"Good, now what are you still waiting for?" he said as he motioned for me to leave again. I turned around with the list in my hand and walked towards the door, stumbling and almost falling on my way there. When I had caught my balance again I bit my lip, kinda glad that I couldn't see Mr. Greenfield's facial expression right now. "I told you that it was fine to wear something more casual. Why are you still in those heels?" I heard him ask. "Uhm I....uhm these are one of my only office appropriate shoes, sir." I told him honestly, quickly glancing at him over my shoulder, not knowing what else to tell him. All the other shoes I owned were too casual to wear to the office and I just didn't have the money to by fancier looking ones.

Mr. Greenfield just didn't say anything as I finally manged to walk out and closed the door behind me, without stumbling anymore. I just seemed to keep embarrassing myself in front of this man.

After I took a second to compose myself again, I went to ask Mrs. Tilton where I had to pick up the invitations for the charity event and then made my way there.
An hour later, I was in my office again, addressing all of the letters to the people on the guest list, when there was a knock at my door. "I need you to come with me" Mr. Greenfield said, walking over to my desk. Why does he even bother knocking, when he never waits for me to say something anyways?
"You're taking your lunch break in the city today" he explained as he seemed to notice my confused expression. "Well, I'm not gonna stand here and wait forever." he told me impatiently. "Okay, let me just get my bag. If you had told me a few minutes earlier you wouldn't have to wait." I told him quite bluntly, once again, my mouth just taking over. I was prepared to get yelled at by Mr. Greenfield once more but he just rolled his eyes at me. It kinda annoyed me how he always just seemed to throw things at me and then expects me to jump and do just that, the second he says the word. I guess he's just used to getting whatever he wants, whenever he wants it. Plus to be fair, it was kind of my job, so I didn't complain any further, even though it wouldn't hurt him to just act a tiny bit nicer.
I quickly threw my phone and notebook into my handbag and then was ready to go.

We made our way into the elevator and rode it in silence. I noticed a few people giving us some looks. I wasn't sure whether it was because of me or him they were looking our way or maybe the two of us together. It just felt pretty weird, having people stare at me so obviously. Mr. Greenfield however, seemed to be used to it and showed no reaction at all. When we arrived at the bottom floor, he lead me to his car and we both got into the back.
"So where are we going, sir?" I asked Mr. Greenfield as we drove off. "I told you. A bit further into the city." he said as he glanced over at me. "And what are we gonna do there?" I asked him, still not knowing what his plan was. "You will see. Don't be so impatient." he told me and rolled his eyes once more. I was about to make a comment on that but this time just bit my tongue.

Only a few minutes later, the car came to a stop again and Mr. Greenfield got out, his driver opening the door for me. "Thanks" I told him with a smile as I got out as well, really having to concentrate to not fall for the second time today. "Follow me" Mr. Greenfield told me as he started to walk and I had a bit of a hard time keeping up with his pace, since I was still wearing my stupid high heels. I honestly felt like a little toddler, that couldn't keep up with the grown ups because of it's little legs. As Mr. Greenfield stopped, I took a second to look around me. I've never been to this part of London but then again, I haven't seen much of this city yet at all.

I couldn't hide the confusion on my face as Mr. Greenfield took me into a really fancy looking, high end clothes store. We were greeted by a middle aged lady who went up to him and kissed his cheeks excitedly. "Alexander, darling. I haven't seen you in ages. I've been excited all day since you called me in the morning" she said, grinning from ear to ear. "And you must be Stefanie Bauer, the new personal assistant? I can see why you brought her, Alexander. She's beautiful but she does seem a little uncomfortable and dressed up. Oh and she really can't walk in those heels, to safe her live. Sorry love but it's a fact" she rambled on, all at once, giggling softly as she pulled me in and also kissed my cheeks. "Uhm yeah. Hi. That's me I guess...?" I said a little taken aback at how forward she was. "Okay well. I'm Rita and you and me got quite a bit of work to do" she said with a grin still on her face.

"Okay listen, I want you to choose whatever you like and keep in mind that you are also gonna have to attend my charity event so you need a dress for that as well. It's obviously all on me." Mr. Greenfield then said as he looked at me and I raised my eyebrows at him when I realised what he was doing. "Okay what is this? Am I like a charity project to you as well? Do I look like I need you to throw your precious money at me?" I asked him, shaking my head. What was he thinking just going around and throwing his money at me as if I depended on it.
"What? What do you even mean? Listen, I can tell that it's not easy for you right now, financially. I'm not stupid. I've seen your old phone, I know where you live... I just wanna help you out, okay?"he explained pretty calmly as he looked at me and ran a hand through his hair, not even letting me respond anymore. "Please make sure she chooses whatever she likes, Rita. Taylor will pick her up in about two hours." he then told the lady and she nodded. "I will work my magic. You won't be disappointed. See you soon, darling" she said with a smile and nodded, before Mr. Greenfield left the store.
