Mr. Greenfield's P.O.V.

So many thoughts were running through my head as I looked down at the girl cuddled up to me. Her chest was moving up and down slowly as she was fast asleep. A strand of hair had fallen into her face so I gently tucked it behind her ear, tracing my fingers over her cheek a little longer than needed. She was beautiful, even though she's completely different to what I usually go for when it comes to girls.
I couldn't help but feel so drawn to her for some reason though. I wanted to know more. I wanted to know why she moved to London all by herself. I wanted to know about her past. I wanted to know what she's been through because I could tell that something was off. I just had the need to look out for her and make sure she was okay.

This was so wrong in so many ways though. She is my personal assistant. I am her boss. I was supposed to stay professional but this right now was far from it. Her private life was none of my business. I shouldn't care about what she does when she's not at work. I shouldn't be worried.
I had no clue what had gotten into me to even pick up the phone when she called me. If any other of my PAs had called me in the middle of the night on a Friday, I would have declined the call and yelled at them the next time I saw them. I also never felt guilty for giving my employees a shit ton of work. It was their job after all and it's obvious that working as a PA at A.G. corporation wasn't gonna be a walk in the park.

For some reason though, I felt horrible for the way I treated Stefanie and how much tasks I ordered her to do, especially since it's only been her first week. I would never show that to her though. I'd be screwed if she or anyone else found out how I felt. This was so unlike me. I'm known for being a strict, distant, professional, successful boss and this is exactly how I wanted things to stay. I was not gonna have poeple loose their respect for me just because of this girl. I've already done way too much already. I needed to snap out of it. Maybe I just needed to find a girlfriend or something so I wouldn't get those stupid and irrelevant feelings for her.
I had to stop myself from feeling like there could be anything else but a boss-employee realationship. Which is exactly what I was gonna start doing right now.

I got up carefully, trying not to wake her up. Steffi cuddled into her pillow as I quickly put my shoes back on and grabbed my phone and car keys. I looked down at her once more, making sure that she was okay. I had to admit that it took me quite a bit of self control to just leave her like that but I had to.
I really hoped she wasn't gonna remember much of tonight when she wakes up tomorrow.
I turned around one last time, before leaving her flat and making my way back home.

Stefanie's P.O.V

I woke up feeling blinded by the sun shining straight at me. I turned around so I was laying on my side. I groaned as I pulled my knees up to my stomach. I don't think I ever felt this horrible after a night out.
After a while of just staying like this I got up, since I had to use the toilet. When I walked past the mirror in my bathroom I felt even worse, seeing how bad I looked like. I quickly washed my face, not really making things that much better though. I couldn't care less right now and just made my way back to bed. I grabbed my phone, seeing that I had 4 missed calls and 6 texts, all of them from Luke.

'Heeeey girl. Did you get home okay?'

'Steffi?'

'You said you'd text me when you're home'

'Are you asleep already?'

'Okay I'm getting a little worried tbh'

'I'm just gonna assume you're asleep. Just call me when you wake up'

I had completely forgotten to text Luke last night, so I quickly called him, not wanting him to worry.
"Steffi. You're alive" I heard him say with a soft chuckle. "Yeah, not really sure about that to be honest..." I mumbled and sighed as I ran a hand through my hair.
"Awww do you have a hangover?" He asked me and I could tell that he was grinning. "Yeah. Possibly the worst one I ever had. Remind me to never go out with you and your friends again, yeah?" I said, only half joking. "Oh come on. You'll get over it. Just drink lots of water and eat a banana or something and you'll feel okay again soon." He told me, making me giggle lightly.

"Now why didn't you text me last night? I was kinda worried" Luke added and I thought for a moment. "I honestly think I simply forgot" I said.
"What do you mean 'think'? Can't remember some things?" He asked me amused. "Not everything I guess" I told him and then thought about last night. "Well what do you remember, love?" Luke wanted to know. "Uhm well, I remember getting drunk at the pub. And you guys wanting me to go to the club with you but I took a cab ho- wait shit" I said as I realised that I didn't take a cab home.

"What? Steffi? Oh my god what?" Luke asked me curiously. "I uhm I didn't take a cab home. I remember getting bored of waiting" I explained and I heard him chuckle. "Wait, but how did you get home then?" He asked me a bit confused and I tried to remember. "Uhm...I walked..." I told him and bit my lip. "Wait, you walked all the way back to your flat completely alone? Do you know how dangerous that is? You're lucky nothing happened to you, Steffi" he said worriedly. "No...nonono. Oh god no" I mumbled as Luke's words made me remember what Mr. Greenfield told me when he picked me up. Everything that happened last night then came back to me. From me drunkenly calling him and him then driving me home, to me throwing up and him helping me, plus all the things inbetween.
My heartbeat sped up as I looked around me, remembering that I made him come to bed with me. I quickly checked my whole flat, letting out a breath of relieve as I realised he wasn't there anymore. I guess he must have left. I didn't just imagine all this, did I?

"What? What do you mean no? Helloooo? Anyone still there? Steffiiii.... hello?? What are you doing? Earth to Steffi?" Luke's voice then tore me out of my trail of thoughts. "Sorry. I uhm just remembered some things" I mumbled and facepalmed. I debated whether I should tell him about what happened but I couldn't help it. I guess I just needed to get it off my chest, even though he was probably gonna make fun of me for the rest of my life

"Oh my god I can't believe this, Steffi. This is hilarious." Luke laughed after I told him everything I rememberd. "Yeah I'm glad my misery amuses you. Just go ahead and make fun of me as long as I'm still your friend. I might have to leave the country if anyone finds out about this" I said sarcastically and frowned. "I don't think big boss is gonna tell anyone about this. Like, it's kinda weird that he even did all this to be honest. I mean, I don't know him that well but it sounds really unlike him" Luke told me. "Yeah he should've just hung up. Would've saved us all a lot of trouble." I groaned frustratedly.

"Should I just quit and spare myself the humiliation of getting fired on Monday?" I asked Luke and sighed. "Oh don't be silly. You're gonna go to work tomorrow and just act as if nothing happened. Maybe he won't say anything about it and think you don't remember" he stated. "I don't know Luke. I don't think that's gonna happen" I said unsure. "You don't have a choice, love. If you don't show up at work yourself, I will drag you there personally" he joked, making me laugh softly.

"Now go and get rid of your hangover so you'll be fresh and ready for work" he then told me and I sighed. "Fine. But if I die out of embarrassment it's gonna be your fault" I said sarcastically.
"Yeah don't worry. Alexander will gladly take care of giving you mouth-to-mouth resuscitation" he teased, putting an emphasis on his first name. "Idiot" I just mumbled playfully and rolled my eyes, even though he couldn't see me. "Yeah I guess I am. Bye love. See you tomorrow" Luke then chuckled "Bye Luke. See you" I said before hanging up.

I spent the rest of the day watching TV, catching up on sleep and snacking on dry bread and bananas, feeling like my stomach wasn't able to take anything else yet.
The whole time my thoughts kept going back to Mr. Greenfield and everything that happened last night. I had no clue how I was gonna get through tomorrow, which was only a few hours away now.
I already knew that this was gonna be such a disaster.

----------
Sorry that you had to wait so long. I was super busy the past few days and had no time for writing. I hope you like this chapter. What do you think will happen on Monday?

xx Stefanie
