Restart (A Billionaire Story)

10: Pub

Luke and I took a cab to the pub, even thought it wasn't really that far from my flat.
When we arrived there, Luke lead me over to a table, making me assume that the 5 people sitting there were his friends. "Hey. Everyone meet Steffi. Works at A.G. for A.G." he said with a soft chuckle as he introduced me to everyone.
I learned that the tall, brown haired boy was called Brian, while the slightly shorter one's name was Nate. Lucy was about my height but had long, red hair, while Sabrina and Veronica were both blond and quite tall. Luke also told me that Veronica was the girl who works at A.G. as well. They all seemed to be pretty nice as they welcomed me, before Luke and I sat down at the table with them.

"Well, looks like we gotta catch up with them" he said as he looked at me and pointed at their pretty much empty drinks while reaching his hand up for the waiter.
'This is gonna be interesting' I thought to myself as he then ordered two vodka tonic as well as two strawberry shots. I never really drink much alcohol, except for special occasions like birthday parties or things like that. I almost always know my limit though and have only twice gotten really drunk before. Which also means that I wasn't used to much and therefore didn't need a lot to get quite tipsy.
"Cheers" Luke grinned as the waiter brought our drinks and he took his  shot, handing me the other one. "Cheers" I said as well and then took it all in one sip. I could tell that it was quite strong since it burned a bit as it went down my throat but I was also a sucker for strawberries. "That's really good" I told Luke as I put the glass down and he nodded. "I knew that you were gonna like it" He chuckled.

"So you're Alexander Greenfield's PA?" Veronica then asked me and I nodded, biting my lip at the mention of his name. "Oh my god this man is a work of art. His lips, his hair and oh god, his body...don't even get me started." Lucy gushed as she looked at me. "I would just stare at him every second of the day if I worked for him." she added, making everyone laugh. "And that is exactly why you don't work for him. You'd probably get fired on your first day, Lucy" Brian teased her, making her roll her eyes at him. "Oh shush. Now, I need all the dirty details" she then said as she looked at me with a curious grin. "Well I think I have to disappoint you. There are no dirty details I guess" I told her and shook my head, laughing softly. "Oh come on. I can't believe that" Lucy exclaimed and shook her head as well. "This is not shades of grey...." Brian told her and chuckled, making Lucy hit his arm playfully.

"But how does he treat you? Is he really that much of an ass to his employees?" She asked and I shrugged unsure of what to tell her. "He definitely is. A really really hot ass though" Luke answered for me and nodded.
"Well he's not exactly the nicest but he isn't even that bad to be honest. He can be really thoughtful as well" I told her, earning some surprised looks from everyone. "The vodka must've gotten to her head or something" Luke joked and I rolled my eyes at him playfully. "I think you need another one. Another round everybody?" Brian announced and everyone nodded in agreement. He walked over to the bar, to get two shots for each of us and then set the tray down on the table.
"To big boss. He's probably sitting at home alone, working" Luke said as he raised his glass and we all did the same. "To big boss" everyone called before drinking their shot.

"So, Luke said that you started working at A.G. this Monday. What did you do before?" Brian asked me after a moment. "I uhm was working as a kindergarten teacher in Austria" I told him, feeling pretty uncomfortable talking about my past.  "Oh wow. That's quite different to being a PA. Any reasons for that?" Luke asked me surprised. "It's kind of a long story. I just needed some change I guess" I mumbled and shrugged as I looked at him. He seemed to notice that I wasn't feeling comfortable sharing more, so he just dropped the topic.

"Well I'm glad you did because you are quite refreshing, compared to the past few personal assistants" He said with a smile as he winked at me. "I hope it's the good kind of different and not the weird one?" I giggled softly and he just nodded.
"Now, time for another one" Brian then called and everyone raised their second shot. "To Steffi, my new favourite person at work. Next to Veronica and Mr. Greenfield of course" Luke smirked and Veronica shook her head at him. "What? He is hot. I'd lie if I'd say that I wouldn't take him home" Luke defended himself, making  everyone laugh and shake their heads at him, before downing their drink.
