[12] First Date?!

Yuka's pov

It's been a few days after the duel with Julia, and I was meeting with Yami at a cosy library café.

'You mean your date? Because if so, you're going to be late if you don't hurry up.'

'Not a date. We're just hanging out.'

'Then why is it only going to be you and Yami then?'

'Because you idiot, do you think Joey and Tristan would come to a library? And even if they did, they'd get kicked out because they can't keep their voices down. Yugi and Tea didn't feel like coming. And because both Yami and I needed some new books, we decided to go together.'

'Then why a cafe and not a normal library?'

'Why are you so insistent?'

'Why are you evading the question?'

'...The library café will be more cosy, we can eat desserts and discuss our books.'

'...So basically a date... And you're even dressing up for it.'

'I'm literally only wearing a dress. How's that dressing up? You just want to mess with me because you're bored.'

'Bored? Bored? I don't get bored!'

'Keep telling yourself that.'

Once I made sure no machines or dangerous stuff were on in my lab, I learnt that before you leave the lab everything should be switched off the hard way. This one time I left one of my machines on and it short-circuited. It then caught fire and almost burnt the whole lab down.

The plus side was that all my research was saved, oh and only a small part of the lab was damaged... but... the repair fees were huge because it just had to be the expensive machines that had to get damaged. I think that is one of the top 5 times I saw Declan that angry. He didn't even check if I was hurt.

With everything off, I left to go meet Yami.

Timeskip

'I want to buy this place... Do you think they'll sell it?'

'I want you to stop being delusional, but do you stop?'

'You woke up on the wrong side of the nest, didn't you?'

Before he could retaliate, I intervened, 'If I get you whatever dessert you want, will you calm down?'

'....Only if you get me 10 different things... But what would you do if I didn't agree?'

With no hesitation, 'Took off the bracelet so that I wouldn't have to hear your whining.'

Looking around to see if Yami got here earlier than me, I saw that he hadn't arrived yet. Deciding to sit at a nice secluded corner, I choose a selection of desserts for the lizard and me to try.

'Do you even need to eat, or do you just like eating?'

'Am I not allowed to even eat now?!'

His temper was just ridiculous, 'I'm asking because I'm curious.'

'I like trying human food.'

'That's all you had to say.'

Honestly, I wasn't expecting that answer, but it was a good thing I made my own money because the snake's liking of human food costs a lot. Especially when he wanted dragon-sized portions.
