Ms. Veronica finished elaborating the rules. I’ll be fine as long as I hide the fact that I’m a human. I calmed myself probably going on thousands of stimulations on how I’m going to die if they found out.
“So that’s about it, now let’s discuss about the fast approaching 3-day Cultural Festival.” Miss Veronica cheerfully said.
Finally, something normal, I forgot it’s already this time of the year. I lost track of the date because of the always-migrating-all-the-time routine.
“Yes! The only time of year we can reveal our true form even in day time!” someone shouted.
“No! No! My normal Cultural Festival. Good bye.” In vain, I mentally shouted inside my mind.
“So any suggestion on what we’ll be doing?” Ms. Veronica asked.
“A Haunted Housssse” A girl with long black hair suggested. What’s up with that snake-like accent?
“Sorry Lamia, Section 3-B is doing that”
“It’ssss Okay” Lamia frowned but put up a smile to ensure Miss Veronica. She’s such a good girl. Don’t forget Eli she’s a monster too.
“Ohh! Ohh! Let’s do a Cafe! Boys would be butlers and girls as cute maids.” A little kid suggested. I wonder how old she is. She seems to the youngest from all of us and the most cheerful one.
“That’s a good idea Hanako, But 2-A already got that one” Miss Veronica explained.
“Why? I want to see the girls in a cute little maid costume, I don’t really care about the boys” she said, poker-faced. Everyone laughed.
“How about doing a Haunted Café, boys and girls would still be butlers and maid but dressed up all scary.” I suggested. Lamia and Hanako-san seems happy about the idea.
“That’s a good idea Princess’’ Hanako-san hugged me. She’s so cute. Yeah I’m kind of a lolicon. No, not the perverted type. I just love cute things and little children. It’s hard to believe that she’s really a nonhuman being.
“That’sss the besssst idea ever” Lamia sparkled with pleasure. The whole class seems up to it.
“So it settles we’ll be doing a Haunted Café. So after all today is a half day, you can go home early or set the preparations for our Café. I’ll let you decide on what everyone’s going to do for the preparations” She smiled while arranging her things.
“And don’t forget to invite your family to come” she added, but Mom would be endangered if I invite her to the Cultural Festival in the school of monsters. Better not to invite her.

It was fun making everyone’s costume for the Cultural Festival. I even had lunch with some friends for the first time: Lamia, Hanako-san and Zarah. I looked at my watch. Wow it’s already this late. I have to go back to the dorm before night falls. The dorms are about 1 kilometer away. Where’s that freaking John?!! Gggrr... I waited for him outside the gates.
“You bastard! Don’t think you can get away from me this time.” A monstrous voice shattered the silence.
“Who said I was running away? I just walked-out from you yesterday because you’re not worth-it lizard breath.” It sounded like the noise is coming from the forest across the school. I hate the adventurer within me. I walk across the road curious about the ruckus. Without knowing that danger, awaits me.
