Chapter 20

vic turns the radio on and clicks the CD button, you me at six blasts through out the car.

"good music taste quinn" he says as he turns a corner

"i guess, do you think you could stop at target over there, i think i should buy some stuff that you didnt pack for me" i say softly

"if you insist" vic says turning down the music a little.

"you seem, ah" vic starts talking but i cut him off

"nervous" i say finishing his sentence

"babe, dont be"

"but what if mike hates me"

"he wont hate you" vic says as he parks the car.

We both get out of the car and slowly walk our way inside

"Why shouldn't I be? He's your brother?" I ask as we walk through the men's clothing.

"Yes he's my brother, I should be the nervous one! What if he thinks I can't pick up good guys!" Vic says he sounds serious but the smile on his lips show other wise

"Not helping" I state as I look for my size in a plain white shirt

"We could share clothes" Vic says

"Ew, no, yours must smell bad, just look at you" I joke

"Ha very funny"

"Okay fine we can share clothes, I'm going to buy myself a toothbrush, wait here" I say and I walk off into the distance, I walk past the cd's and stop in my tracks when I see the words 'pierce the veil' I look through the CDs, all I see is the 'selfish machine' record, but I'm looking for 'a flair for the dramatic' cd. How hard is it to find that cd? They only have two CDs out right now! Fuck it I'll just google the track listing.

*Vic pov*

I just realized I didn't really get anything for kellin's birthday, well now I feel like a bad boyfriend, what would kellin want, I look through all the graphic t-shirts and I'm about to grab the last Rolling Stones one when I see another hand go on the same one, I turn my head to see kellin, we both look at each other awkwardly and I see kellin blush.

"You can have it" I say

"No, you were going to get it first, I might take it from you though" he says as I grab the shirt, and we walk to the check out

"Purple toothbrush, never thought you were a purple guy" I say as he puts it down.

"They didn't have blue" he mumbles

"$12" the cashier says and I see kellin start taking out his wallet, I take it so he can't pay and put it in my pocket and then I take out my own and pay the guy and he passes me the bag.

"I was going to pay" kellin says as we get into the car and I give him his wallet back.

"Our shirt was most of the money, don't worry about it" I say and I lean in and kiss him on the cheek.

"Our?" He questions

"I can share, just I won't share you"

I start the car and start driving.

"How many more hours?" Kellin asks as he stretches his arms out.

"Ten minutes"

"I slept for two hours?"

"Three"

"Shit, now when I meet your brother I'll look like a mess because I just woke up" kellin starts freaking out as he puts down the visor and looks at himself in the mirror, he's such a cute distraction while I'm driving, he should be illegal or there should be a law that he has to have a bag over his head while in a car with others, but yet he would still look cute with a bag over his head.
