chapter 27

"tonight" jack said with a smile then my attention was pulled away from him as the teacher annoyingly taps his desk.

"to be honest, spring break starts soon and i dont want to start anything new" he says and everyone sits up in their sleep, like they are waking up from the dead.

"talk amongest yourself" he adds and i turn to jack. he slowly turns to me, his smile still there, but brighter than before.

"so i dont think we've ever fully met, im jack, as you know, ah, i love video games, long walks to ice cream stores or carts or whatever, and i play guitar and skateboard" he says and i laugh a little

"im kellin, i like cake more than ice cream, ah i dont know if its called a ice cream store but okay, ah i have no talents and im not currently fond of singers so as long as you arent a singer i'll be fine" i joke and he laughs

"im not a very good singer so you have nothing to worry about, and im sure you have talent, you just got to find it"

i walk into the lunch room and take a seat next to justin and alan smiles at me

"your back!" he says with a smile

"hows vi-" alan starts but gets cut off by justin hitting his side with his elbow

"oh im sorry, its true" alan adds

"dont be sorry, i ended it" i shurg

"hey kellin" jack says with a smile as he sits in between justin and i "hi guys" jack asks and everyone mumbles their 'hellos' 

"so tonight" jack says softly

"tonight" i say and he smiles

"i was thinking, we could go eat ice ceam and cupcakes because it seems like somthing we would both like" jack says and i smile

"that sounds really good to me"

"i knew it would" he says with a smirk

i look over at justin who gives me a disaproving look before turning away.

*back to now*

Jack took me out for ice cream on the day i first got back to school and then we also went for cupcakes, we told jokes, laughed, smiled, he made me forget about vic, i then went home and insted of sleeping in my car to avoid the memories in my room, i actully slept in my bed, oliver left a note for me in the kitchen saying he was going to florida to hang out with the a day to remember guys, and he also said he would get me some merch with autographs. im still waiting for those. the next day at school andy came up to me and asked me to hang out, i had movie plans with matty so i refused, matty and i went to his place and watched a day to remember concert videos, that counts as a movie. then a few days later i ate lunch with andy and ashley and we talked about their relationship then my old one with vic. then jack and i spent every other day together after school, alan told me he thinks im only with jack because i miss vic, but that is clearly not the case. 

we leave target and get into jack's car and he starts it

"was it weird seeing vic again?" jack asks breaking the silence

"no"

"should i be scared of him taking you away?"

"dont be, i really like you jack, you know that"

"thats a relief i thought you would've gotten tired of me"

"you are the funniest person i've met, how would i get tired of that?"

"alex did" he whispers.

if jack is my 'rebound' then am i his? my phone rings taking my thoughts out of my head, and i answer my phone
