Question after question, answer after answer. Describe this, describe that. The trial dragged on and on. Linda was boiling inside, and finally, she just let it go.
"Look at me! Just look at me!" She started. "I will never be the same! All because they're messed up in the head. They kidnapped me and tied me up! They tortured and raped me! They raped me hard, more than once! They took turns raping me. Turns. And each one was harder and meaner and scarier!" At this point, Linda went into gory detail, and Danny had to step out. He was on the verge of another melt down. As his wife continued to testify, he went out in the cold air, and breathed, calming himself down.
"They threatened to shoot me if I made any noise!" Linda continued inside the court house as Danny cape back in. "They starved me, only giving me bread and water once! I am never, ever, ever going to be the same again! Never! I'll never walk the same, I'll never feel the same, and I may never even love the same way. For the rest of my life, I'll be paranoid! I'll never be able to go anywhere by myself. I'll never walk, never think, never even breathe the same way. All because they thought it was crazy fun to kidnap a detective's wife! The best d@mn detective in New York! And if you say they're not guilty, then something's wrong with you, too!"
Everyone was surprised to hear Linda burst out like that, but the judge regained his composure.
"Is that it, Mrs. Reagan?"
"Yes. That's all..."
"The jury will now decide who's guilty, and who's not."
The jury, judge, perp, and James the lawyer left.
Linda walked down and up to Danny and Erin.
"That... I did not expect." Erin was at a loss of words.
The blonde shrugged, then started crying. She hugged her husband, crying into his shoulder.
"You did great, honey," Danny hugged Linda tighter. "Just great."

It seemed like forever while the Reagans waited for a verdict. Linda had had two emotional breakdowns along with a round or two of hyperventilation. She sighed and traced the veins on her hand.
The judge finally came in, and the jury proceeded to sit down. Everyone found their place, and waited for the verdict.
"Does the jury have a verdict?" The judge asked.
"Yes, your honor," a juror handed a piece of paper to the judge.
Linda held her breath and closed her eyes; Danny, on the edge of his seat, was holding her hand.
"The jury finds the defendant...."
