That Sunday dinner, Linda put in her multiple two cents, ate a normal amount, and smiled through most of the dinner.
As Erin, Jamie, and Danny did the dishes and cleanup, Erin asked,
"What did you do to her?"  She dried a water glass. "She's starting to be her old self again!"
"We had sex." Danny shrugged.
"No, really. What did you do?"
"No, really. We had sex."
Jamie laughed at his siblings.
"I don't believe that..." Erin raised eyebrow.
"Why not?" Jamie wondered. "Nine months is the same amount of time a woman is pregnant; Danny's waited like that, why don't you believe him now?"
"Thank you, I think..." Danny wasn't sure if that was a compliment or not.
Linda watched the siblings clean and argue a bit. She smiled, "Danny? Can I see you for a minute, please?"
"Yeah, sure." He placed the glass on the counter and followed his wife. "What's wrong?"
She grinned, and lightly nibbled his ear- that was her sign that she wanted some alone time with her husband.
Danny smirked, "where?"
"You're old room..."
Discreetly, the couple made it up to Danny's old room. Linda grabbed his T-shirt and forcefully thrust her lips against his. Quickly, she wanted tongue access, so she lightly ran her tongue across Danny's lips.
Danny moaned in delight, letting Linda take the lead. She slid her hands up his shirt and pulled it over his head. As she kissed his chest, he slid her sweater off and threw it to the floor.
Soon, they were going at it like they used to, hard and all over the room.
Back downstairs, Sean wondered, "where's Mom and Dad?"
Jack shrugged, "I saw them go upstairs. Maybe they're looking for something?"
"It's something all right," Nicky smirked as she looked at the ceiling after a loud crash came from her uncle's old bedroom.
"Ohhh...." Sean and Jack nodded, understanding what their parents were doing.

A long while later, Linda and Danny collapsed on the bed, tired and spent.
"That was fun," Danny smirked and kissed his wife's cheek.
Linda closed her eyes and smiled contently. "Yes, it was."
"Judging by that, I'd say you're all better?"
"I'm never going to be all better, but I'm pretty sure I'm very close to pretty much all better."
The detective grinned widely and kissed his wife again. It was the end of a horrible era, but the start of something grand. True, Linda would never be quite the same again, but she would come pretty close. In fact, according to Danny, she was even a little better than she was before.
