"You know that feeling you get when you feel like something big is about to happen but nothing remotely is exciting is going on in that exact moment? You anxiously await the grand moment, not even sure what is supposed to be happening?" I talk not looking up from my book.

"Wow umm, I can't say I have." She forces out a chuckle. I've made her nervous, I could feel it. It wasn't my intention.

"Huh, odd. What can I do for you miss?" I looked up from my read of the day The Great Gatsby it was good not my taste personally but it was good.

She had blue eyes and fiery red hair, cascading down her shoulders in loose curls. A shiny cross necklace hanging down her neck caught my eye. My mother had the exact same one, she wears it to church every Sunday.

"Oh I was just wondering if you had any Stephen King novels." She spoke in a mumble looking down at her pink shoes.

"Yeah. Follow me," I led her over to the horror genre. " We've got Carrie, It , The Long Walk, The Mist , and I'm pretty sure we have the Shinning out back. So pick your poison." I pulled them all out and laid them in front of her to pick.

"Well it's sorta a gift for my boy-... friend. Not my boyfriend. My friend he's a male you see... um I don't know. Have any suggestions?" She rambled making her face flare up into a red almost as bright as her hair.

"I have only read IT and I haven't been able to sleep since, but other then that it's good I liked it." I hand over the black hard covered book. She nods with a small thanks. We walk over to the register in silence.

"What's your name?" She finally spoke without a stutter.

"Lana or Eliza. You?" I laugh with a warm smile making her feel a little more relaxed.

"I'm-" She was interrupted by the bell over the door frame. A tall pale boy with curly black hair walked in, waving his slender hand towards the timid girl.

"I've been looking all over for you. I thought we were meeting at the park?" He seemed to be the complete opposite of the ocean eyed girl. Just the tone of his voice.

Not very interested on what was going on I grabbed my book leaning into my chair like I had been when she walked in.

She quickly pays and hides the book behind her back.

"Thank you for shopping at Spring's Book Store." I mumbled as their small foot steps reached the door setting off the bell.
