It was now Monday and what made it extra special was that it was JV's turn to cheer at the football game. I wasn't very excited like most of the girls on the team. Not because I hated cheer, well partially because I hated cheer, but because I hate football.

I tap my foot against the tiled floor of the French classroom. Looking up I catch a glimpse of Red writing in her notebook, she was deep in thought. I kept my gaze on her for a little longer watching as she bobbed her head to the imaginary music before I could get the chance to look away she looks up at me. My eyes go wide when I'm caught but she only gives me a small smile and looks back down.

After the bell had rung I gathered my things and ran my hands down my skirt to make sure I wasn't flashing anyone. Despite the fact that I had to go to the football game, later on, I was in a really good mood.

"Lana," I hear Red call my name while I walk down the hallway. I spin around to see her jogging towards me, her ponytail swinging side to side.

She's now walking beside me, lightly panting. "Um... I heard about Scout," Red pauses once she sees my reaction. I was a bit shocked but at the same time, it was obvious she'd find out. First of all, Finn had a big mouth, and, Second it was evident something had occurred because we no longer spoke to each other.

"I'm only bringing it up because I wanted to tell you that if you needed to talk, I'm here. I know it's probably none of my business I just wanted you to know."  She timidly hugged her binder closer to her chest.

A smile grew on my face seeing her blushing cheeks. It was obvious she was embarrassed.

"Thank you, Red. I think I'm coming to terms with it." Nodding my head I adjust my cheer bag onto my shoulder.

She walks away with a smile and enters a nearby classroom while waving me goodbye. I wave back feeling good about our interaction. It wasn't snobby it seemed genuine something we only shared in bits and pieces lately.

Feeling like I was being watched I look around the room to catch Scout's glare. If I was being honest I was getting tired of all of it. He was angry with me but I couldn't do anything about it cause he wouldn't talk to me. It was a very familiar situation.

I give him an equally daring stare and turn away. Like I said I was in a very good mood. This was a rare occurrence for me so I wasn't going to let a petty thing like that ruin it.

"Guess what I just found out." Finn chuckled as we sat in our groups during study hall. I paid no mind to him as I begin to read the book Jacques had gifted me.

"No, you wanna hear this."

After shushing him for the second time he rolls his eyes and begins to scribble sloppily on a ripped up piece of paper.

Finn takes the paper and shoves it in front of my face. Yanking it from his hand I begin to read it which was difficult because he had horrendous penmanship.

I found out who that girl Scout was with at the arcade. She's a freshman from Riverview that private catholic school. What a fucking loser.

Once I finish reading it I toss the note aside going back to my book. Sure, I was hurt but I had to accept the fact that he didn't want anything to do with me anymore.

Unable to concentrate I put my book down feeling my mood begin to fade.

"I only told you because I heard that he's bringing her go the game tonight. I just didn't want you to find out some other way and be caught off guard." He whispers leaning close to my ear.

I nod my head understanding where he was coming from. He gives me a side hug in attempts to comfort me but the last thing I wanted was to be upset over Scout moving on. It was bound to happen and I needed to just get over it.

"Thanks," I mumble. It wasn't something I wanted to know but I appreciated the warning.

"I saw you and Red talking. You guys are so weird." Finn grabs the blue book out of my hand examining it.

I rip it out of his hands, "you're so nosy. Isn't it exhausting knowing everyone's business?" I question him, annoyance clear in my voice.

"Nope, it's entertaining," Finn smirks. "Look all I'm saying is that you guys are like best friends one day and then you guys act like mortal enemies or some shit." He shrugs his shoulders while laying his legs on my lap.

What Finn was saying was true, but I really couldn't tell him why I thought this could be. I mean how was I supposed to tell him that his girlfriend and I had kissed once while she was drunk and that's why things were so awkward.

"Fucken wanker." I reference the British comic book Finn had read to me while pushing his arm making him chuckle.

"Your accent is horrible." He rolls his eye and crosses his arms over his chest.
