I place my shoebox filled with used rolls of film into the moving boxes. Finn tapes up a box full of my shoes and takes it downstairs.

"You think Red is going to the party tomorrow?" I ask Finn once I hear his footsteps behind me.

They seemed to be getting closer and closer every day. I'm not sure if it's a serious thing or not, but I felt like she has been very distant these past days.

"Party?" I hear Scout's deep voice behind me. I haven't seen him in almost a week

I spin around allowing a big smile to appear I walk over to him engulfing him in a long hug. A week was not a long time but I had gotten used to seeing Scout every day, a week seemed like an eternity.

Filling him in on everything that was currently happening I continue packing my things while he sat on my bed.
...
I fix Scout collar in front of my mirror. The last week of summer and here I was preparing to go to a house party with a bunch of drunken classmates. Sure there could be worst things to be doing on the last nights of summer.

Looking in the mirror he smiles grasping my hand in his pulling me closer to him. He gently wraps his large hand around the back of my neck bringing my lips up to his. Our lips brushed against each other, he shuts his eyes. I felt my heart pick up speed.

" You're driving me crazy, Lana." He hovers over my lips pulling me back to reality. My cheeks go red as he towers over me his hand still around my neck.

Before I can say anything Finn barges into my new room, Red trailing behind him. Finn lets out a loud whinny laugh.

"Oh, shit didn't know you guys were busy." He mocks us making Scouts pale cheeks flare-up. I roll my eyes taking a few steps away from Scout.

"Knock next time dipshit." I scuff throwing my jean jacket over my bare shoulders. I exit the room in an attempt to catch up to Red but instead, she makes a sharp turn into the restroom when she sees me coming.

Taken back at her sudden action I look around trying to think of reasons she would possibly be upset at me. I knock on the wooden door gently, " Hey Red, you ok?" I question waiting for a response but instead, she opens the door with a smile.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just had to wash my hands." I nod my head skeptically not completely believing her but decide not to question it any further. We walk downstairs meeting the boys in the living room.

The whole car ride was silent other than the occasional mumbling coming from the back seats and the music from the radio.

I run my fingers on the beige leather of Scout's car seats. I don't know much about cars but I knew this was an awfully nice one.

Before I can think any more about it Scout scoops up my hand interlacing our finger while the other on loosely hung on the steering wheel. Scout makes a turn on Maple street where a house lit up with red Christmas lights illuminated the inside. I turn behind me to face Red she looks out the window then back at me we both giggle in excitement.
