To say Bailey was scared to face everyone was an understatement. He was frightened, absolutely terrified. This was like his worst nightmare. The pain in his lower back and butt had subsided since the party, and Adrian or Tristan had gotten food and his homework for him, telling the teachers he was really sick.
Bailey was grateful for Tristan, he was a reasonably good friend who supported him more than anyone, and who Bailey trusted also more than anyone. He told him most of his past after the party, as an explanation of sorts, and Tristan had even cried a little for him, crawling into bed next to him and hugging him, saying he wished he could've done something.
Of course, Bailey told him he was probably developing a crush on Adrian. Okay definitely. He was definitely developing a crush on him. Okay maybe he already had a huge crush on him, whatever. Tristan had told him to watch out, that Adrian was one of the popular guys, and he shouldn't be trusted too much, but it was already too late for that.
Bailey put a beany on and fixed the little tuft of hair that stuck out, before looking at Tristan, who stood at the door.
"Ready?" he said, smiling a little.
Bailey nodded and held his hand, walking out of the dorm room.
Adrian sat in his usual seat in the classroom. He had gotten there early, as usual, so that he had enough to just chill before the teacher came. He pulled out his phone and went on Instagram when he heard someone sit next to him.
"I so fucking sleepy yo." his friend, Blake, said rubbing his eyes.
Adrian hummed, his eyes still on his phone, "Maybe if you didn't get drunk and go hook up with girls all the time you wouldn't be so sleepy."
Blake glared at him, but then chuckled, a smirk forming on his face, "Oh but it wasn't a hook up. Samantha gave me her number afterwords as well, said she wants to do it again. But more like a date."
Adrian stilled and very slowly looked up from his phone, frowning, "Oh so you have a girlfriend."
"No need to be so jealous." Blake said, putting his feet up on the table, "You know she liked you back. You didn't make a move so I put her out of her misery. The fault is all yours."
"Fuck off, Blake." Adrian grumbled, looking back at his phone and scrolling through Instagram, double-tapping a few posts.
Blake snickered, "You know, she was real nice. A virgin, too. And her tits- oh god, her tits."
"Blake, I said fuck off. I don't fucking care." Adrian snapped.
"Bro it was a joke, relax."
"Well it wasn't funny, so shut-"
"You know how when she smiles she gets these dimples, and her eyes crinkle just the slightest bit? Speaking of her eyes, you know how they're this icey blue, like on a cold winter's day if the sky is completely clear and-"
"No." Adrian deadpanned, his attention having gone off of Blake.
Blake raised an eyebrow at him, "What?"
Adrian sighed and looked up from his phone, "No, I've never noticed."
"But you say you like her?"
Adrian shrugged and looked back at his phone.
"You should've just made a move when you had the chance." Blake said, after a moment of silence.
Adrian took a deep breath, "What if I don't want a relationship? Huh? Ever thought about that? What if I did really like her but don't want to be her boyfriend?"
