Chapter 10 |Just Smile and You'll Be Fine|

"I sh-should...be....in school right now," I muttered, trying to talk with these painful stitches. "I know that, so that's why I canceled your last semester there," he said as if it was just completely okay.

"What!!" I shouted. "My family helped pay....so much for my...for m-my college....now I can't get...it back!!" I shouted, not caring about the pain
anymore.

"Oh silly thing you don't need it anymore now that you're with me," he said in a playful voice. "You...know my fr-friends will...notice that...I'm missing...I told Tails that...I was coming to hang....with you so he...will know where....I am." I stuttered out.

Shadow aggressively turned his head and stomped over to me, he harshly grabbed me by my neck, digging his fingers through my flesh. I watch him pull out a pocket knife and slide it next to my neck. I could feel that sharp blade digging into my flesh, but the scariest part was seeing Shadow's glowing red eyes...it was me looking at death itself. I felt like a small animal being hunted by this demonic creature who'd come to take my life. The room around me seemed to fade and fill with darkness as now I could only stare into the windows of this dark soul. He leaned in closer to my face to where I could feel his warm breath against my stitched smile.

"If that is a possibility...I will make you wish that I sewed your eyes shut," he whispers near my cheek. He slid the knife away from my neck giving me a small cut. I didn't care for that though... I've been through worse.

The monster walked away without saying a word. I looked down at myself and noticed some clear differences. The colors on my fur and quills have changed color, I was more lighter and pale than before. My weight was much lighter since I hadn't eaten anything for a while and from all the blood I lost a while ago.

I hugged myself when I felt a breeze of cold air hit me. It was still really cold outside, the snow was still falling and the clouds were dark so I couldn't see the sun at all. I missed it when I heard birds chirping every morning when I woke up. I also missed being in my bed where I didn't have to sleep next to that monster. Speak of the devil, I heard him walking towards me about to give me something.

I turned to see it was my red scarf that I brought from that day when I first came to this dreaded house. I took it from his hands and felt that soft thread near my cheek. My favorite scarf made me feel safer now that I had it. I put it around my neck and pulled it up so it could cover the lower half of my face.

I growled when I felt Shadow try to pull it down. "Why are you hiding your beautiful face?" he asked. "Are you that stupid? You ruined my face!" I shouted. He grabbed me by my arm and threw me on the bed. "You shouldn't be raising your voice like that...especially to the one with the knife...so sit still and be a good little boy," he demanded while licking his lip.

I growled and pulled the scarf back to my face. "You aren't...going to...eat me are you?" I asked. "Hmm...well no, I mean- unless you want me to~," he said with a devilish grin on his face. I rolled my eyes and muttered "Cannibal," under the scarf. My heart pounded when he got close to me again, I guess he heard what I said.

"Or I could let you eat me...either way I wouldn't mind it at all," he suggested, giving my head a small kiss. "You..really are...messed up in the head," I whispered. "Only for you my darling, I'd do anything for you," he said. "Then take...off...these sti...stitches" I asked. He shook his head and looked at me with another creepy smile. "Anything but that my love," he said.
