I cough a bit as I blink, shaking my head as I stare at the long line of students outside of our football pitch. I swallow harshly before I feel Josh's hand on my shoulder.
"I'm gonna be so gay for this entire game," he whispers in my ear and I laugh.
I brought Josh along because a text came through my phone last night saying I could bring someone with me. And then I got another text afterwards, mentioning that it was Adam. He somehow got my number. I'll ask him how later. Josh's been begging for his number but I refuse to give him it, it's not my place to give him a footballer's number.
We get to the back of the line and stand there for a bit before there's a few screams from the front of the line. I try to see but I'm too short. Josh leans over the crowd instead and grins when he realises what's going on.
"What is it?" I squeak, tugging on his arm.
"It's him."
"Who?"
"Adam, you twat!"
"Fuck! Why?"
"He's just walking!"
"Lift me up!"
"Are you kidding? Hell no!"
"You saying I'm heavy?"
"No, I just- Gah! He's coming even further! He's not even stopping for his fans!"
The screams get closer and closer to the back of the line and I bite my lip, wondering what he's doing. I hear his voice before I see his face.
"Grace and plus one?" He calls and I laugh.
"Adam!" I yell, waving my hands up in a hopes to get his attention.
"Ah!" He laughs, jogging over and grinning at me. "Hi! Who's this?" He mumbles, nodding to Josh.
"I'm Joshua, wonderful to meet you," Josh mumbles, sticking out a hand.
Adam smiles before shaking it. "Pleasure's all mine."
Josh blushes a little and I think it makes Adam smile. He nods a bit, looking to the front. "Why are you guys in this line? I sent Harvey out to tell you guys to be in the VIP line."
"There's a VIP line?" I mumble.
"Who's Harvey?" Josh asks, thoughts I don't want to know about visibly popping into his head.
I shiver a little. "Irrelevant," I say and Adam nods.
"True. Let's get you guys out of this line and into the other one. Which isn't exactly a line."
Josh laughs a bit, nodding. "I'm okay with that plan."

We get into the pitch finally after going through this side door which is a secret VIP entrance which is reserved for players and people with specific tickets. It's pretty cool.
Josh and I get settled into our front row seats and I bite my lip as Josh looks around, obviously looking for some eye candy until the footballers come out. If they go onto the pitch now, they'll get drowned in fans. They have to wait until the game which is fair, to be honest.
I look to Josh and he grins at me.
"I swear to god, these players are so hot that I'm gonna faint."
"They're not even out of the changing room, yet."
"Oh, god, imagine them in that changing room."
"Jesus, Josh-!!"
"Fuuuck, c'mon guys, hurry up and play whatever sport this is."
I look around one last time before my eyes widen. I think I just saw Harley. My eyes dart back over to where I thought I saw him and race over the area, but he's lost. Maybe he wasn't there in the first place, maybe I just miss him. It's only been a few days and I already feel like I'm missing a part of myself.
