"No, no, STOP, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" you shout in your nightmare at the mysterious figure that continued to haunt your dreams. Your eyelids fling open as your heart races and sweat drips from your forehead. Looking over at Bucky you hadn't woke him from his sleep so you try to steady your breathing and calm down. You thought about heading down and seeing if Tony was awake but you didn't want to face any of the team after what had happened. So you just lay there lost in your thoughts until the sun rose.
Bucky turns over in the bed to face you as sunlight creeps into the room he slowly wakes up.
"Hey beautiful" he greets you with his gruff morning voice "Did you sleep okay?"
"Yeah" you lie "Ive just woke up. "I'm going down to the gym" you tell him not wanting to stay in the bed anymore.
"I will be down in a bit" he says rolling over and going back to sleep.
Getting out of bed you head for a quick shower and you put your gym clothes on and head out.
When you enter the room Steve was there boxing and Agent Summers was running on a treadmill. The door closes behind you which catches the attention of both of them.
Steve stops punching the bag and looks at you with a slight annoyance on his face. He starts to take his gloves off and walks right past you out the room without saying a word. Your heart sinks into your stomach was he actually that mad?
Suddenly you didn't feel like working out, you were just about to head back out the door when Agent Summers shouted after you "We need to have a talk later, about yesterdays mission."
"Sure" you respond with no emotion, you were too hung up on Steve's reaction.
Heading out of the door your head back upstairs to change into some regular clothes. Feeling a little self conscious you put on some old black ripped jeans and a dark maroon hoodie of Bucky's that he had left in your room one day, that you had never given him back. Pulling it over your head you took in the comforting scent of Bucky and his cologne. Just as your head pops out of the top of the hoodie Bucky walks out of the bathroom, towel around waist and a small one in hand drying his hair.
"Hey that was a quick workout?" he says confused "Everything okay?"
"Steve was there, he um, i think hes still angry with me about yesterday" you tell him fidgeting with the sleeves of your hoodie.
"I will go talk to him, but i wouldn't worry he gets like that sometimes when it comes to missions, it doesn't take him long to get over it" Bucky tries to convince you. "What are your plans for today?"
"Well Ive got to go talk to Agent Summers later, probably for a telling off for yesterday" you sigh.
"Got time to come into town with me and grab some brunch?" he asks trying to cheer you up.
"Can i get pancakes?"
"You can have whatever you want"
You smile excitedly "I'm going to head down to the garage to pick our ride"
"Here don't forget your going to need one of these now" he says throwing a baseball cap in your direction.
Grabbing it in mid air you pull your ponytail through the back and place it on your head. Closing the door behind you so Bucky could finish getting ready you head down to the garage. Taking a look at all the cars you saw the bright orange Audi that you had taken last time, luckily Tony was able to recover the car after the whole ordeal of you nearly dying. Shaking the memory from your mind you walk over to a completely matte black BMW i8.
"This should be safer and less eye catching" you say to yourself.
Bucky walks through the door as your grabbing the keys from the safety box. He was wearing dark denim jeans, a black t-shirt and a black leather jacket.
"Want me to drive?" he asks.
"Nah, it's my turn" you say with a wicked smile.
You both get in the car, as you start up the engine the garage doors open.
"Got anywhere in mind?" you ask him.
"How about we head into central park?" he turns his head and smiles at you.
"Sounds good" you say as you pull out of the garage to the open road.
After grabbing some food you both sit on a bench looking out onto a pond. The sun glistened on the water as you watched the fishes. You take a bite from your deli sandwich, everything was peaceful and serene.
When you were both done eating you let out a heavy sigh.
"Do we have to go back? Can't we just stay here forever?" you ask Bucky, not wanting to leave.
He looks at you with a loving smile "You know we're the glue that holds the team together right? We have to go back or they will be a mess without us" he chuckles. "But I promise you, as soon as we find this other stone we can start to look for our own place, after the wedding of course."
The biggest smile lights up your face "You want to look for a house together?"
"Yeah, well i wouldn't want our kids to grow up in the city, id like a house in the country or even by the beach"
"Our kids?" This was a lot to take in. Obviously you knew that Bucky wanted to be together for the rest of your lives, that much was clear. But he had actually thought about your future.
You look at him "You think about those things?"
"I mean yeah, i may of thought about stuff like that once or twice" he says downplaying his answer.
You sit there for a moment thinking things over "A house in the country sounds nice. We can even have a spare room for Steve" you chuckle.
"Like you said we are the glue of the team and i dunno what Steve would do without us" you say sarcastically as you and Bucky laugh.
"Have i ever told you your amazing?" Bucky gleams.
