Collision Course (continuation of Running with Gods)

Broken

Bucky moves slightly infront of you, shielding you from her gun.

"Hey its okay" he says holding one of his palms up to her, trying to make her lower her gun.

Steve and Nat apear a few seconds after. You watch as Tony lands behind you
"Thankyou Tony, he told me what you did" you whisper to his mind, greatfull that he hasnt yet swayed to Summers.
He didn't reply buy simply smiled and winked.

"HEY!" Summers shouts to you, noticing that you had used your powers.

You look at her with a drunken annoyance, you had had enough of her B.S.

"WHAT, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? SHOOT ME? BECAUSE LET ME TELL YOU IVE BEEN STABBED AND SHOT BEFORE" you shout advancing towards her, Bucky stayed by your side, but Cap and Nat also walked closer to Summers.

"Come on doll, this isn't like you" Bucky tries to reason, standing inbetween you and Summers.

You look up at him "Everything was fine until SHE came long" you say with venom.

"I know that things are hard right now but you can't put all the blame on (Summers f/n you picked)"

Your eyes grow wide as you take a couple of steps back.

"(summers f/n)??" you repeat to Bucky.
"Since when did you start calling her (Summers f/n)???" you whisper with your heart in your throat.

"What? I didn't, i just called her Summers." he tries to cover up.

"DON'T LIE TO ME" you shout at him "I HEARD YOU CLEAR AS DAY"

"Look (y/n)" Cap says from the left of Summers "Your tired and obviously drunk"

"No shit"

"We need to get you back to the tower, you can come peacefully or we can take you by force." Nat chimes in.

"LOOK AT YOU ALL" you say with your arms out, your head turning to look at Tony and back to everyone else.
"YOU USED TO BE MY FRIENDS,.....my family" you trail off .
"But I see now where I stand" you swallow hard and fight back tears.

Normally Bucky would of tried to calm the situation, protect you from what they were threatening, but he was silent.
You look up at him, still hurt from her name crossing his lips. He almost looked like he was tired of your drunken antics.

"And where do you stand in all of this?" you ask him.
"With them, or with me?" you say through gritted teeth, tears stinging your eyes.

He pauses, trying to choose his words carefully.
"Im on your side.....but i want you to listen to them and go back to the tower"

One single tear rolled down from your left eye as you couldn't hold them back anymore. You swear you could feel your heart literally break as all the air was squeezed from your lungs.
You turn to your right and start to walk to the edge of the building.

"(y/n) STOP!" Summers yells, probably holding her gun back up at you but you didn't care, you kept on walking.

"IF YOU DON'T RETURN TO THE TOWER THE AVENGERS WILL COME AFTER YOU, AND IT WILL STRICTLY BE A SHOOT TO KILL MISSION"

Her threats ment nothing to you, nothing did anymore. You had just lost your entire family.

As you carried on walking, the cold night air caressed your skin as you reached the edge of the building.

You looked down to the street below. You could hear Summers and Bucky walking towards you. Tony using his suit to float closer to you, waiting to catch you just incase.

"Come on doll" Bucky pleads "Dont make me jump after you, listen to (summers f/n) she knows what's best."

There it was again, her name, and his newly formed alliance with her.

You turn around, giving him one last sorrowful look before stepping backwards off the ledge.

"NO!" you hear him shout after you.
You leave it long enough to see their faces peering over the edge and Tony trying desperately to catch up to you.

Then you teleport.

Landing on Tonys couch with a thud, back in Stark Tower.

The guards turn in fright at your sudden appearance. One of them quickly gets his phone out.

"She's here" he tells Summers as they both walk towards the exit. One of the guards puts the top level on lockdown.

Once they had gone you break down, sobbing, finishing the bottle of whiskey you had left on the coffee table. Eventually you pass out, numb from the pain and the alcohol.

A full 24 hours had passed or so you thought, you couldn't really tell given that you had no natural sunlight. The shutters were still down and the Tower still on lockdown. You hadnt moved much from the sofa since you landed, still in yesterday's clothes.

You hadn't slept much, most of the night you had sat thinking about Summers. She had taken everything from you.
Your heart hurt remembering the ultimatum you had given Bucky. You had been drunk and upset and desperately wanted to hold him and say sorry.

That's when the tv flicks on and you hear "Ohhh James"
