Now and Forever (Finale)

Walking down the stairs and into the kitchen was a little tricky, given the length of your dress and the height of your heels.

Once in the kitchen you see that the outside was blocked off from view with white curtains. Not only that but Tony and Steve were stood next to the exit.

"Wow, you look, amazing" Tony beams at you.

"Yeah, you look beautiful" Steve adds.

You blush a little "Thanks"

Steve pops his head out the curtain and signals. Seconds later music starts playing.

"Omg Omg Omg" you repeat.

"Are you ready Natasha?" Steve holds his arm aloft for her to link hers through.

"You'll be fine" she says to you as she walks infront of you to get to Steve. You give her a nervous nod as her and Steve walk into the ceremony.

You start to fidget with your dress as your nerves reach maximum level.

"Hey, hey,.....HEY your going to be fine" he says sincerely as he looks into your eyes, grabbing your hands to stop your fidgeting.

You look back at him and breathe in deep.

"That's it" he says "In through the nose and out through the mouth, in through the nose and out....."
He stops mid sentance and entwines his arm around yours to lead you out into the ceremony.

"You jerk" you whisper under what little breath you had. Tony just smiles at you and turns his attention forwards.
You do the same and gasp at what your eyes were looking at as the two of you walk down the aisle.

Trees were decorated in warm white lights. A long white carpet lead the way to a few white wooden chairs decorated with green bows.
You look at the people as they stood to your presence.
Clint and his family, Nick Fury with two agents you hadn't met before, the Secretary of State, Nat and Steve, Bruce was at the alter.

"Is Bruce marrying us?" you whisper to Tony.

"He got ordained online years ago when Clint and Laura got married"

You smile at the fact that one of your friends would be officiating your wedding, it also put you more at ease.

Then your eye catches your oldest friend, a tall branch decorated in lights and ribbons stood near to Bruce and perched on top was Corax.

He was stood proud with a tiny green bow tie "Oh dear you look beautiful" he communicates to you.

"You look very dashing yourself" you smile and hint at the bow tie.

"Rather fetching isnt it" he replies happy with his new attire.

Then your attention turns to Bucky, his back was still facing you as if he was teasing himself not to look.
You were 2/3rds of the way down the aisle when you catch the side of his face giving into temptation and turning to see you, his eyes meeting with yours.

A huge smile crosses his face as you see him utter the word "wow".
You blush at his expression.
He looked amazing himself full black suit, black shirt, black tie, the only hint of green was from the flower in his chest pocket.

You reach the end of the aisle and stop to look at Tony who kisses your cheek as he places your hand in Buckys. He pats Bucky on the back and goes to sit next to Steve and Nat.

Bruce begins to speak "We are gathered here today to join....." was all you heard as you stared into Buckys eyes.
He could tell you were still nervous so he takes your hands in his losesly and rubs the top of your hands with his thumbs as he stared back into your eyes. What you wouldn't give to be able to read his thought just one more time.

You zone back in as Bruce asks for the rings.
Corax stands to attention and scoops a green velvet pouch off the branch he was perched on. He flies over to Bruce's shoulder and places the bag in his hand before returning to his perch.

Bruce carefully takes the rings out of the pouch and proceeds.

"Do you, James Buchanan Barnes take (your full name) to be your wife, now and forever?"

"I do" he smiles as Bruce hands what you thought was the ring. You take Buckys hand and see that there's a metal plate missing from his ring finger.
You look at the "ring" that Bruce handed you and see that it's a gold plate that fit perfectly as you click it into place.
A new piece of him, from you, that he'd never lose.

"And do you (your full name) take James Buchanan Barnes to be your husband, now and forever?"

"I do" you smile.
Bucky takes the ring from Bruce and slide it gently onto your finger. It looked exactly like the metal plate that Bucky was missing, but this was shaped smaller to fit your finger and dipped in gold.
A piece of him, for you, that you'll  never take off.

"I can now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride"

Everyone cheers and claps as Bucky pulls you into his arms and kisses you deeply.

You both walk back down the aisle as everyone stands and throws confetti. Heading into the cottage you can finally catch your breath.

"You kept your cool out there".Bucky congratulates.

"I thought I was going to pass out at one point" you say relieved that you didn't whilst taking in a deep breath.

You look down at your ring and spin it on your finger.

"Do you like it?" Bucky asks.

You look up at him "I love it, i can't think of a better wedding ring to have" you smile.

Bucky smiles back at you "So......Mrs Barnes"

The sound of him saying that sent tingles all over your body.

"Are you ready to begin the rest of our lives together?"

Using your tip toes, as your heels still made you shorter than him, you wrap your arms around his shoulders and move your face close to his. Your lips centimetres apart and whisper a soft "Yes"
