#97. "would you still act the same knowing everyone's eyes were on you?"

#13. "on a scale of 1-10, how bad do you not want to do this?" "i don't."

here's the thing about high school. it was constant pressure. not only did it pressure you for college and what you want to do with your life, it also pressured you to always watch yourself. this particular high school was heavily judgmental. it was one of the most prestigious schools in daegu. it was hard to get in. and because only the "rich" people could get in, the students always thought highly of themselves. this was the pressure for min yoongi. he wasn't rich. in fact, he got in because of his intelligence. the school noticed him and sent a notice to his father. feel proud of his son's intelligence, he accepted the proposal. and now, yoongi was starting his first year at this school.

yoongi hated it. everyone seemed fake, like they were pretending to be other people. they judged him immediately. he was different than all of them. they knew. and he hated that. he hated everyone. but there was one particular girl that he spotted. you. you were unlike everyone else. you weren't preppy or rude in any way. you seemed carefree and outgoing, and didn't care about anyone else's opinion, very much the opposite of yoongi. he was more introverted, and felt pressured by everyone's opinions. but that's why he developed a strong liking to you.

snapping him out of his lonely thoughts, yoongi was roughly pushed into a set of lockers. he gasped as he felt pain erupt from his back. he looked up, a heavy glare on his face. the guy who had pushed him simply smirked. "loser." he spat, before laughing with his friends and walking off.

just after the incident happened, you rounded the corner. although you didn't see the incident, you could put the pieces together. you hurried down the corridor, rushing to yoongi's side. "are you okay?" you asked worriedly.

yoongi looked at you. he was surprised to see you talking to him. he never imagined this. he only watched you from afar. he blinked and pushed himself off the lockers. "i'm fine." he replied.

you sighed. "alex is such a jerk."

yoongi looked in the direction "alex" and his group of friends went. he nodded silently. you turned to look at him, flashing a smile to him. "do you want to go for coffee or something after school?"

yoongi's expression showed confusion, bewilderment. you laughed. "what?"

he averted his gaze away from your eyes. "nothing."

"well, meet me here, in this exact spot after school." you looked at him a bit longer, feeling your heartbeat pick up its pace. then, you turned and walked away. you felt like the day had just become much brighter, given that you had just made a friend.

school finally came to an end. you hurried to the spot where you told the boy to meet you, making you realize that you never caught his name. you didn't know if he knew yours. you waited patiently for the blonde haired boy. you waited for five minutes, but by then, your thoughts were jumping to conclusions. was he not coming?

just then, you spotted his soft hair. but he was being pushed into the lockers by non-other than alex. feeling enraged, you stomped over there. you angrily parted the crowd, earning some glares from your fellow students. then you appeared in front of alex, grabbing his arm and yanking it off of yoongi's chest. "piss off." you demanded.

alex smirked, "look at this little girl, thinking she's all tough."

you felt anger flush through your veins. you clenched your fists, trying hard not to knock that ugly grin off his face. he continued to laugh with his face. "hey, poor boy, is this your girlfriend?"
