#72. "why are you sleeping?"

#86. "you promised you wouldn't fall asleep."

you hurried into the elevator that would take you to yoongi's apartment. you grinned happily, probably looking like a crazy lunatics in a stranger's point of view with no context. you pressed the three button, causing the elevator to ding and shut its doors. as the elevator ascended, you began to wonder what yoongi was doing. perhaps he was waiting for you to arrive, maybe he was getting ready.

you and yoongi had planned a nice date. you wanted to go one one, especially since spring had just begun. the weather was beginning to be warmer, and trees and plants were starting to bloom. spring was your favorite season. every time winter began to come to its end, you dreamed of the warmer weather. you couldn't wait. and now that spring was finally here, you wanted to spend its first few days with none other than your boyfriend, min yoongi.

the elevator finally opened its doors and you stepped outside. you wandered around for a bit before reaching yoongi's apartment. you stared at the number on his door, 309, as you knocked. you waited patiently, counting the seconds until yoongi opened the door. only, he didn't. you sighed. what else were you expecting?

you checked the time on your phone and saw that it read 10:13. no wonder. yoongi probably hasn't even woken up yet. begrudgingly, you reached into your bag and pulled out yoongi's spare key. you inserted it into the doorknob and pushed open the door, closing it behind you as you walked inside. you took off your bag and set it down on the floor. you slipped off your shoes before wandering further into the rather cold apartment. it seemed lifeless and still, and you almost thought that maybe he wasn't home. but then again, you and him agreed to meet here before your date. that's when you noticed the closed bedroom door.

you walked over to the door and quietly opened the door. peeking inside, you noticed a visible lump in the bed. you couldn't see a head anywhere, but it was noticeably yoongi. he probably was cold, he had wrapped himself into a burrito. quickly, you snapped a picture of your burrito boyfriend, before approaching the side of the bed. you still wanted to go on this date, and yoongi has been sleeping long enough. you poked his back. "yoongi." you sang.

he didn't move, remaining as lifeless as a piece of brick. you rolled your eyes and gave his back a push. this time the body huffed, groaning slightly. you began to pout. "min yoongi." you called again. "it's me, your girlfriend."

he simply hummed a response, before pulling the covers closer to him and snuggling into his pillow. you sighed. "yoongi. please."

yoongi inhaled a deep breath, drawing out the exhale. you soon heard his deep, morning voice erupt from the burrito. "alright, i'm up."

he began to unravel himself from the covers, turning over to face you. you glared at him. "why are you sleeping?" you asked him.

he looked at you as if you had asked a dumb question. "why wouldn't i be sleeping? it's saturday."

you looked at him, taking in his puffy face and tired eyes. he still looked adorable despite his appearance. "but we agreed to go out today. you said to meet you here and then we'd go for breakfast."

yoongi seemed to think for a minute. as he did so, you couldn't help but pout. "you promised you wouldn't fall asleep."

yoongi sat up in his bed, releasing a heavy groan as he did so. he rubbed his eyes, and his face, wiping away all signs of sleep. "technically, i didn't fall asleep. i happened to go to bed late and made up for it by sleeping in."

you looked at him and stood up, "are we still going out?"

yoongi looked up at you. he blinked, his brain still seeming to be half-asleep. you couldn't possibly stay mad at him. "of course we are." he replied.

you grinned, feeling happy once again. "i'll let you get ready then."

minutes later, yoongi was dressed and ready to go. he dressed casually. his usual beanie with a t-shirt, light jacket, and jeans. while leaving the apartment, he asked, "where are we eating for breakfast?"

you hummed. "i don't know, actually. you said we'd figure it out."

he looked at you, an embarrassed smile on his face. "did i really say that?"

you nodded, jutting out your chin slightly. "you did, indeed."

"well," he paused as he pulled out his phone and opened up his maps app. he typed in breakfast places around the city. you leaned closer to him and watched in move around from place to place. you pointed at one, "that one just recently opened." you commented.

yoongi clicked on it. "alright then, let's go."

you and yoongi walked to the elevator and took it to the main floor. after leaving the apartment complex, stepping out onto the street, yoongi reached for your hand and grasped his loosley. it was something he always did when you and him walked alongside each other. for yoongi, it was reassuring. the city was busy and he could easily lose you.

you and him walked to the breakfast place. it wasn't so crowded, probably because it was more around the time for brunch then breakfast or lunch. you asked for a table for two, and you and yoongi were seated at a booth by a window.

you sighed as you peered outside at the bustling city. you noticed the change from winter clothing to spring clothing. "i love spring." you mumbled.

yoongi looked at you before following your gaze. he smiled slightly, noticing your dreamy gaze. "i know you do."

you turned your attention to the menu finally. everything sounded so good. you had been up for hours now. you got up at your normal time but you couldn't eat breakfast because you and yoongi had planned to eat together. now, hours later, your stomach was close to eating itself. "pancakes? eggs? sandwich?" you mumbled quietly to yourself.

yoongi glanced at you, "just pick something."

you peered at him from over the top of the menu, flashing a glare. "i'm going to order everything and then make you pay for it."

yoongi narrowed his eyes, trying to think of a good comeback for that. but he couldn't. he just sighed and leaned back against the booth. "take your time, babe." he replied.

you nodded. "i will." but moments later, the waiter arrived with your drinks.

"have you guys decided?" she asked politely.

you finally order something, after what felt like forever. yoongi pretended to be annoyed by it all, but both you and him knew that he wasn't actually. after you guys ate, yoongi asked where you wanted to go next. but you really hadn't planned that far. "yoongi, we only planned on breakfast."

he smiled. "so?"

"do you not have plans or anything?"

he huffed lightly, grabbing your hand. "my only plans are with you."

you blushed hard and stared at yoongi with wide eyes. "my heart." you whispered.

yoongi laughed at your expression. he hurriedly pecked your nose before walking away from the restaurant, pulling you along behind him. his own cheeks were tinted pink, but they weren't as dark and vibrant as your cheeks. your heart was beating rapidly after that. you grinned happily.

"let's go shopping." yoongi suggested.
