"jimin!" you yelled as you glared at the rather scarce shelves in the pantry.

he didn't reply. with an exasperated groan, you moved to the fridge, finding that it too was rather empty. "park jimin!" you yelled again, this time louder than before.

you heard the pounding of footsteps coming your way. it was fast paced, and soon jimin was flying into the kitchen, his hand grabbing the corner of the wall to spin around. his eyes were wide and he was panting, "what?"

you opened the fridge. "we need to go grocery shopping."

jimin glanced between you and the fridge, disbelief written on his face. "you screamed at the top of your lungs all because we don't have any food?"

you nodded. what else did he think? why else would you have screamed?

"i thought you were mad at me, or even worse, getting attacked by an intruder or something." his arms dropped to his sides as he sighed.

you grinned sheepishly. "i mean, not having any food in the house is kind of an emergency."

jimin looked at you, placing his hands on his hips. "are you saying you want to go grocery shopping, despite it being so late at night?"

"exactly." you nodded, stepping closer to him. "hardly anyone will be there, and it'll be fun. couples do it all the time."

jimin's cheeks reflected a light shade of pink as you stood in front of him, arms wrapping around his waist. jimin rolled his eyes, but there was a shy smile on his face and his own arms were snaking around your shoulders and pulling you into his chest. "fine."

"yay! let's go!"

you and jimin walked hand-in-hand into the grocery store. jimin was glancing around, finding it rather eerie that the entire grocery store actually seemed deserted. you didn't seem bothered by that at all, so he tried his best to not think about it.

jimin grabbed a cart and began pushing it. "what do we need?" he asked.

you looked around. "i don't know. i didn't necessarily make a list."

"let's just through every single aisle then."

you nodded and began walking. you were humming serendipity as you walked, making jimin's heart feel warm and fuzzy. you were always so happy and fun, and hardly anything was able to bring you down. he admired that about you, often striving to be as positive as you.

you gasped suddenly, bringing jimin out of his peaceful thoughts. "we need this." you stated, grabbing a jar of peas.

jimin stared at you. "babe, you don't even like peas."

"so, they could be helpful in the long-run."

jimin shrugged and continued to follow you down the aisle. in the next aisle over, a smile grew on your face. it was the candy and sweets aisle. jimin watched as you wandered around, grabbing random brands of both your and jimin's favorite things. he didn't exactly want to protest, despite being a rather infamous kpop idol that had a body to maintain. jimin always had room for sweets, and it was his break. he was able to do whatever he wished to do. he simply smiled as you hurried back over, dumping everything into the cart. "we need these too." you said.

jimin shook his head and continued pushing the cart. in the next aisle, you already had an index finger pressed to your chin, tapping a random rhythm as your eyes scanned all the items. "you know, i think we need noodles. i can make all kinds of things with noodles."

jimin's eyes brightened up. finally, something reasonable. "oh, like ramen, or pasta, or naengmyeon, or jjajangmyeon, or japchae-"

you laughed. "calm down, jimin. i'm not a chef."

"yeah, but that's another thing we can do. try cooking everything together. i think that would be really fun."

you blushed, glancing at jimin with a twinkle in your eyes. "alright." you replied, reaching for a variety of noodles.

afterwards, you and jimin shopped for all the ingredients needed to make every kind of noodle dish that the both of you wanted.

"ah, and we definitely need this." you mumbled, reaching for some chicken. "and this." you grabbed some beef.

jimin watched as you piled random items into the cart. "are you sure we need all these things."

"and this." you said, putting some green onions into the cart. "of course."

jimin didn't want to disagree, but it seemed like you were just grabbing everything that you laid your eyes on. "and soy sauce." you continued, "and sesame oil. oh! and eggs, we need eggs. we definitely need this." you suddenly yelled excitedly, running over to grab an entire pack of banana milk.

jimin was reminded of his dongsaeng, jungkook, watching you excitedly putting milk into the cart. suddenly, however, jimin was looking at all the fruit. he left the cart next to you before wandering over and grabbing a few plastic bags. he put every single fruit that he liked into the bags. then he carried them back to the cart. you looked at him as he approached the cart, cocking an eyebrow at him. you were looking at the many bags of fruit that he had.

he smiled teasingly, "and we definitely need this."

you were confused for a split second before remembering that you had been running around the store, claiming that you needed this and that and this and that. you blushed, a bit embarrassed, as a small smile came to your face. jimin grinned before walking over to you. he pulled you into his arms. "jimin," you said, "i can put some things back, like that can of peas, and the box of crackers, and-"

jimin shook his head. "no, it's okay, baby." he pressed a kiss to the top of your head, causing your cheeks to darken. "it's cute watching you shop."

you smiled before playfully slapping his chest. jimin laughed and pulled away from you, reaching for the cart again. "do you think we have everything?"

you glanced into the cart before looking up at the aisle directories, trying to remember something else that you needed, or rather wanted. "i think that's everything." you said.

"great!" jimin sighed, struggling to turn the cart around to head towards the cashiers.

you laughed and pushed him over, attempting to help him. jimin laughed alongside of you, unable to actually push the cart. he had to let go, afterwards bending over with his hands on his knees in order to laugh loudly. your cheeks were turning reddish pink again as you struggled a lot more than jimin to push the cart.

"baby," he said through a laugh. "i think we have too much stuff."

you stopped pushing and laughed. "but i think we really need this stuff."

"i don't think we need all of this stuff." jimin said while shaking his head, his eyes glancing at every single item in the grocery cart.

"fine," you stood up, trying to calm yourself down. "i'll put some of these things back."

jimin tried to help you carry some things back to where they belonged. the store was empty so he wasn't worried about anyone stealing the cart, or any items in the cart, not that he had already bought them already.

a few minutes later, jimin attempted to push the cart again, this time able to actually move it. "is that better?" you asked.

jimin nodded. "let's go."

you and jimin were finally able to get the cart to the register. jimin paid for the items and together, the items were loaded into your car, barely fitting all together. however, once at home, all the items were dragged into the house, but they all fit in their respectful places in the pantry and fridge.

now tonight would be a fun little inside joke story to remember, how you just had to have everything, and had no self-control. but there was another thing that started from that shopping trip. now, you and jimin were cooking together every night, attempting new and difficult dishes. it was fun for you both, and sometimes little rewards after the meals came out of it.
